My 2006 Pontiac G6 has several safety recalls. I contacted my local GM dealership (carr Cadillac Buick GMC new and used car dealership serving vancouver, wa and portland or) as instructed per the "important safety recall" letter I received in the mail. This letter was stamped with the signature of [xxx], vice president - global vehicle safety. I called carr Cadillac Buick GMC to schedule a date(s) and time(s) for these repairs. I spoke with the technician about recall # 14116 eps (electronic power steering), # 13036 BCM (body control module), and # 14152 transmission shift cable. He indicated that on November 17 I could bring my vehicle to the dealership's service department for recall # 14116 and # 13036. He stated he was unable to schedule an appointment for recall # 14152 because the replacement part is not available. I called and spoke with a technician at carr Cadillac Buick GMC new and used car dealership serving vancouver, wa and portland or approximately 2 months ago and was told that their service department had received several of these replacement parts previously though they were all installed in vehicles and the service department has not received any replacement parts since then. It is my understanding that carr Cadillac Buick GMC new and used car dealership serving vancouver, wa and portland or has not had nor have any knowledge of when they might have again the authorized replacement parts for safety recall # 14152. I am concerned and would like some help as to how this issue will be best resolved in a timely matter. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

I didn't have any accidents at this time. However, the first recall on this vehicle was May 2014 and then the others followed. There are 3 recalls on this vehicle and none of the parts are available. What is being done to expedite this process" all recalls have serious consequences. Am I driving a death trap? GM continues to push cars off the assembly line but nothing is being done to have these parts available and repair the cars that are on the road. As a government Agency, what are you doing"

I went to get my vehicle inspected and the brake lights would not operate correctly. First, they would not shut off. Then, they would not turn on. You can push the brake pedal and sometimes it will turn the brake lights on and they stay on, or it will turn them off and they will stay off. I have brought it to two different automotive shops, including the one I purchased it from and they have not been able to diagnose the problem. GM sent me a recall notice for this type of problem. However, it is not listed on the website. So I called GM and they stated I had to pay to have a manufacturer diagnose the problem as it was not a "legit recall as of yet" and that if it was found to be part of the recall the cost would be reimbursed. I explained to the GM agent on the phone that it has been looked at and I cannot afford to pay to have it looked at again. She stated I needed to wait for a "legit recall" to be mailed to me. The letter I received from GM previously is the same type of letter I had received about the other two recalls on my vehicle that are listed on the website and there are no parts for. The malfunctioning of my brake lights is a serious problem and could cause a horrible accident.

I have received 2 separate recalls for my vehicle regarding the power steering, one in 2012 and one in June of 2014. Both recalls claimed that there are no parts available, and have not been for 2 years now. I have just received in July of 2014 (2) more recalls on my vehicle, regarding the body control module, and transmission shift cable, again stating that no parts are available. My fiance drives this vehicle and it frightened me to thing that her transmission cable could go, so I contacted GM about the issue to attempt to find out how long until the parts are available, since I worry about her safety. I was told to wait until the parts become available, one of which I have been waiting over 2 years, and to ignore the recall letters, that they don't mean much and they are "forced" to send them out. I was told to continue to wait like everybody else for the parts to become available, and not to worry unless I receive more letters. I have never seen such a blatant disregard for customer safety. I have already attempted to contact GM about this issue at no luck. Please help.
