Steering wheel tightens as if it's really hard for myself to turn it, some days when starting car afterwards the steering wheel goes back and forth by itself then the steering wheel will listen where it's I say too easy to control, everyday it seems to be different I can go 2-3 days where it's easy to control then all a sudden for a day or two it stays super hard for me to turn.there days where I jus don't drive it cause of how it's really hard to turn the wheel, I don't get to leave town ever in it because afraid of it possibly locking up on me causing me to wreck, it's my only vehicle can't afford another one and defenitely can't afford to fix it.ive been told there was a recall on the steering for 2006 but I googled it few times and found where there was no recall I was looking forward to the recall...I purchased the vehicle Feb 2019 off a friend of mine and he says the steering had an issue he didn't have time to mess with it so...

My 2006 Pontiac G6 has been giving my wife issues while she is driving. At random times, the power steering goes out, ABS sensor comes on, and the lights inside and outside the car start to dim. This has caused her to nearly have an accident and is unsafe for the road. I replaced the battery and the alternator because it seemed like a power issue, but there was more behind the issue. Whenever I called my GM dealer, they told me there was an extended warranty on the vehicle and they would replace the torque sensors in the power steering system if the vehicle was under 150,000 miles. Since I was never notified by GM of this extended warranty issue and had to call them directly to find out there was an issue, my vehicle has 155,000 miles on it and they will not fix it.

In 2014 I recieved a recall on my Pontiac G6 2006 to inform me of a faulty power steering. So I took my car to a GM dealership to get the recall fixed. At that time I wasn't experiencing any problems with my power steering. Now it's been 5 years later my car power steering is locking up and the steering wheel jerks while driving as well as, while in park. I'm getting the run around from GM my car is needed for working and school but. I'm afraid to drive it due to the fear thr car may lock up on me again. Feb 22, 2019 whild pulling out of a parking space my vehicle lost power to the steering wheel making it difficult to turn the wheel. Thankfully no other cars where coming, I was able to pull out. I turned the car off and back on... I prayed the while time while driving home with my 7 year old son in the back seat.
