Bought my car 2 yrs ago. Governement requires emissions test done before licence renewal - take it into garage and find that intake manifold and gaskets need to be replaced, due to recommended coolant (Dex-Cool) by manufacturer. Bulletin was sent to mechanics but not advised to the general public. Just losing my job, this is not an expense I needed. To top it off, my husband drives a GM Chev Venture (same problem - same bulletin), worse damage - over 4,000 Cdn to fix. I am truly pizzed off - obviously GM knew about this, and did nothing to advise thier clients, but figured that they could make MORE MONEY by handling it this way. Personally I love my car, hate the manufacturer, and I am demanding re-imbursement for my expenses (all of which I have kept receipts). What are others doing about this??? The only advice I have for someone looking into purchasing this vehicle, and from working in the corporate world, is do your research - its all about the bottom $. Any good class action lawyers out there and does anyone know how to contact GM directly about this. THERE IS SUCCESS IN GROUPS!

never buy a GM product since they are not willing to back their product when obviously they have a defective material used in their gaskets
