Turn signals and hazard lights do not work. It started when the weather was getting colder. They eventually may start working. I found if I would wiggle the hazard switch the turn signals would work. I bought and replaced the hazard switch 22624799 and it resolved the problem. This is a recall but it does not include my VIN.

Recall 03V327000 concerning hazard warning switch: After recall repairs were done vehicle experienced a clicking sound in the steering wheel. Dealer was notified, and informed the consumer that this problem was not covered under the recall, but another issue not pertaining to the recall.

Also when the vehicle was picked up the clock, radio, display lights and the headlights were inoperative. The dealership did not accept responsibility.

NHTSA recall 03V327000 subject:hazard warning switch. The turn signals became inoperative. Consumer received the recall notice took the vehicle to the dealer, who performed recall repairs. After driving the vehicle for less than ten minutes the turn signals failed. Consumer immediately took the vehicle back to the dealer and the signals came on. Dealer indicated it was an intermittent problem which could not be resolved..

The turn signals would work intermittantly. Dealer said the signals should work again if the hazzard switch is engaged and then disengaged. This did help solve the problem when it would arise. Took the car in for service and they replaced the hazzard switch. This did fix the problem. Another service shop said this has been a common problem for this part due to a bad solder joint in the switch and they have changed out quite a few switches. Looked online to see if there had been a recall on this part in my car type. There is but my car is not listed as one where this fix is aurthorized.

Hazard signal switch failed. Consumer was unable to give indication to oncoming traffic. Consumer said her vehicle had the same problem as mentioned in recall 03V327000, but dealer would not repair the vehicle because VIN was not included.

Turn signal fails intermittently. The consumer was informed by the manufacturer that there was no recall, although the consumer saw a recall on the NHTSA website. The manufacturer refused to repair the problem.
