1. had to replace the exhaust sytem because the automatic exhaust stopped working after towing the truck to the dealer to create a forced regen 2. replaced 2 turbos 3. after emission recall was completed, engine was loosing antifreeze and overheated. Added antifreeze several times and then the engine started blowing white smoke, engine knocking like a loose crank or rocker arm truck lost complete power. The truck was delivered to Ram dealer in riverhead, after spending 1600 dollars for engine diagnosis, which was clear apparent to anyone, the said engine was no good.

This is a known issue that is all over the internet. I believe it starts with the 2009 model year to the 2018 model year. Ram forums have shown that owners have had this issue begin from 20K miles and up from there. The issue is the fuel gauge would stop functioning and read empty. Causing the check engine light to come on which cause the vehicle to no longer operate in eco ( describe 4 cylinders for better fuel economy) mode untill the issue is resolved. Some owners as well as my self have had the vehicle stall out, forcing me to navigate to the shoulder before attempting to restart the vehicle. Usually starts right up and the check engine will remain on. With my vehicle if the tank is full the guest works and I do not have a problem untill 40-60 miles into driving where the check engine light would come back on and at times causing the stall. Other owners have reported that the guage does not work 100% of the time. There is a big number of owners who have just gotten it fixed but most just live with the issue since it's not causing a stall. I cannot stress the importance of a recall on these Ram for the people that are dealing with the issue. And the number of un reported claims to your Agency. Please look into this for the many owners who have failed to report to you this ongoing problem that the dealerships and Fiat is well aware of. They have even advised people that the NHTSA issues recalls not the company. Just seems like they are waiting for your Agency to issue one. Thank you for your time and for the organization you work for.

The fuel level sensor constantly goes in and out on this vehicle leaving the gas gauge inoperable leaving drivers guessing how much fuel is actually in the tank. When tank is completely full the gauge works fine as soon as the needle starts to move from full the vehicle chimes and the service engine light comes on the gas gauge instantly drops to empty and the dash reads fuel level sensor fail this is know to be a wide spread issue with fca and they have done nothing to remedy the proplem

Driving on hwy 17 down a ramp, throttle sensor light came on and truck stalled out. Restarted truck to pull off hwy/ramp to safer location, noticed thick bl smoke billowing out from under hood. Pulled into parking lot, lifted hood to see flames coming off engine. Bystander called 911 while I got a bucket of water. Threw bucket of water onto engine while police and fire dept finished extinguishing. Fire dept stated they have seen a few eco fires. Towed to hendrick's, contacted Ram. Ram stated no need to contact ins co (they will handle it). Thought this was strange, contacted ins co anyways. Inspected by 2 fire specialists, ins co and Ram. Ins co stated manufact defect, Ram stated leaky injector (which were replaced by Ram 18K mi prior at dealership). I sustained smoke inhalation and 1st degree burns to face, neck, lt arm and had/have headaches. Truck was still under 100K warranty with only 40K. Ram denied opened claim and warranty. Ins co totaled truck out, they still have an open claim against Ram. Additionally Ram denying my emissions settlement of 3K only offering 900 (stating emissions work couldn't be done due to fire classifying me as a previous owner although I was current owner even at that time). I still haven't settled emissions. Recently Ram has recalled all 108K eco-diesels 2014-19 for fire hazard. My truck fits the description for what happens and always needed a little coolant with maint, insp, oil changes. I paid off my truck before, and now have a payment with what I consider a lesser truck. When I call fca and give my info they often hang up, act like they cant hear me, or state they are transferring me to manager (hanging up on me). Also stating someone will get back to me, but never any returned call (supposed to get a call tomorrow, will see).

My stock driveshaft is rubbing into my stock gas tank. I believe to be the case on all 2014 regular cab 1500 with the 3.92 rear end. The key here is the 3.92 rear end on this truck. They used an oversize adapter plate the mount the drive shaft and there is not enough clearance when turning left and the bed rolls. I have gauge marks in my tank and fca is refusing to look at the evidence even though a Ram dealer pointed it out to me.

Recall for emissions not performed correctly. Engine light comes on all the time. Warning flashes on dash : "engine will not restart in 200 mi service def see dealer." Started at 5000 miles and has plagued the truck every since then. Ram was supposed to fix and reimburse under recent recall and extended warranty settlement. I have documented, written, called, emailed, and faxed to the Ram manufacturer. I get no response whatsoever. Recall done on 7/11/19 and on 10/08/19 I still don't have it fixed. File to thick to up load.

Fuel pump sensor failed. Replaced the part, bought from the dealership. Installed and worked for two days before the sensor again failed. When the fuel tank is filled the gauge does not sense any fuel in the car. Also the car's computer system fails to tell you which part is in failure- the brake light indicator went on for the passenger side brake light, it was actually the brake light on the cab that was out.

Fuel sensor failure. Gas gauge shows empty all the time. Check engine light is on as well as "fuel sensor failure" light. This is very common in these Ram trucks. It happened the first time to me while driving. There was a warning bell, then the fuel sensor failure light came on with the engine light, and then gas gauge dropped to dead empty. Has remained there since

After having the aem update completed, I lost 5mpg in fuel economy (from 23 mpg combined, to 18 mpg combined), I also am experiencing an incredibly unsafe amount of acceleration lag (4-6 seconds). When pulling into traffic travelling at 40+mph, this lag in acceleration causes me to roll into traffic with no power or ability to accelerate until the engine decides to kick in.this lag in acceleration is the biggest concern as the duration of lag is inconsistent and unpredictable. I do not feel safe in this vehicle and am not confident in it's performance anymore. I, like many other owners would like to get rid of this truck. I think fca should take bake the truck becuase it has become a financial/safety nightmare. As of January 2019, I have spent over $7000 on the exhaust system prior to the aem update coming out (egr cooler clogged, turbo hoses bad, etc.) luckliy, I just had the egr cooler replaced under the new warranty but the drivability (good fuel economy and power) is no longer present. If this truck functioned like this when I first test drove it, I would never have bought it.
