Recall for emissions not performed correctly. Engine light comes on all the time. Warning flashes on dash : "engine will not restart in 200 mi service def see dealer." Started at 5000 miles and has plagued the truck every since then. Ram was supposed to fix and reimburse under recent recall and extended warranty settlement. I have documented, written, called, emailed, and faxed to the Ram manufacturer. I get no response whatsoever. Recall done on 7/11/19 and on 10/08/19 I still don't have it fixed. File to thick to up load.

Fuel pump sensor failed. Replaced the part, bought from the dealership. Installed and worked for two days before the sensor again failed. When the fuel tank is filled the gauge does not sense any fuel in the car. Also the car's computer system fails to tell you which part is in failure- the brake light indicator went on for the passenger side brake light, it was actually the brake light on the cab that was out.

Fuel sensor failure. Gas gauge shows empty all the time. Check engine light is on as well as "fuel sensor failure" light. This is very common in these Ram trucks. It happened the first time to me while driving. There was a warning bell, then the fuel sensor failure light came on with the engine light, and then gas gauge dropped to dead empty. Has remained there since

After having the aem update completed, I lost 5mpg in fuel economy (from 23 mpg combined, to 18 mpg combined), I also am experiencing an incredibly unsafe amount of acceleration lag (4-6 seconds). When pulling into traffic travelling at 40+mph, this lag in acceleration causes me to roll into traffic with no power or ability to accelerate until the engine decides to kick in.this lag in acceleration is the biggest concern as the duration of lag is inconsistent and unpredictable. I do not feel safe in this vehicle and am not confident in it's performance anymore. I, like many other owners would like to get rid of this truck. I think fca should take bake the truck becuase it has become a financial/safety nightmare. As of January 2019, I have spent over $7000 on the exhaust system prior to the aem update coming out (egr cooler clogged, turbo hoses bad, etc.) luckliy, I just had the egr cooler replaced under the new warranty but the drivability (good fuel economy and power) is no longer present. If this truck functioned like this when I first test drove it, I would never have bought it.

The contact owns a 2014 Ram 1500. After filling the fuel tank and starting the vehicle, the check engine warning indicator illuminated and the fuel indicator read that there was no fuel in the tank. The contact took the vehicle to jt's dodgeland of columbia (located at 190 greystone blvd, columbia, SC 29210, 803-832-1255) who stated that the fuel relay sensor failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to NHTSA. The approximate failure mileage was 56,000.

My vehicle has tremendous lag when trying to accelerate, but it is not all the time. I never know when pulling out into a road at a left hand turn if I am going to get throttle response or a dead petal. Too many times not I have been stuck with tremendous lag and almost rear ended by vehicles while turning onto a road. This was never an issue until a forced "fix" for a recall on the ecodiesel engine. Upon initial acceleration sometimes there is a 1-2 second lag before the vehicle even seems to accelerate at all. My mile per gallon has dropped several points and def is being over consumed. I do not know when the truck will accelerate or just lag out on me. I do not know if this is a motor or transmission or none of the above issue. I do know that many people with the "aem fix" for the recalled Ram is having the same issues. This vehicle does not seem safe to drive to to its unpredictability with acceleration. From a cold start, the vehicle is extremely sluggish for several minutes or miles, and that is in the warm ca sun.... I am waiting for the vehicle to not work at all. This has been ongoing for several months since having the vehicle "fixed"

After the mandatory emissions update on my ecodiesel I am going to get seriously hurt trying to get out in to traffic at a stop light or sign. There is serious lag in the throttle response and sometimes no response at all. How can something that was supposed to make us safer leave us so very vulnerable. Please, please, please for a fix to this issue. Also the update was not supposed to cause a change in fuel economy or the way our vehicles run. It is horrible. It's bad enough that the fuel economy is so drastically reduced, but seriously this is a huge safety hazard. Every time that I am at a stop and then push on my throttle I have no idea if the pickup is going to respond or not. Numerous times I have been stalled out with traffic coming at me both ways. It is an extremely frightening experience. Worse, I am considering an after market "tune" as are 1000's of others. This is not the answer to this widespread problem. Please make Dodge fix this terrible safety issue. How many preventable crashes will there have to be?

The V08 emission recall has despite what the manufacturer claims decreased my mpg, increased turbo lag, made it unsafe to drive due to literally slower than acceptable throttle response, and daily diesel regeneration. All before this flash to the ECU there where no problems. But since it is a ticking time bomb just waiting for for me to get T-boned at an intersection for the delayed acceleration.

High pressure fuel leak causing fuel at a high pressure to be sprayed all over engine compartment, exhaust system, brakes and coat the undercarriage with fuel. While driving at highway speed (70 mph) a mist of vapor appeared behind the truck causing other vechicles to pull to the side to avoid the fuel being sprayed. Check engine light illuminated. Stopped the vehicle and massive fuel spill covered the concrete and dripped from every undercarriage lowpoint. Smoke and sizzling was observed and we fled a safe distance from vehicle. This is a repeat failure of the high pressure fuel line. This is the fifth failure and it has several more attempted to solve the leak prior to closing the work orders. Failure appears to happen after approximately 10,000 miles of being in service. No root cause has been established for this failure. Vehicle is in the possession of fca and no clear path has been given to me on how this is going to be resolved and I am without my truck. No path has been given to repair components that have been severely contaminated by diesel (brake pads, rotors, versus rubber components, etc) the attached photo shows the amount of fuel that poured out in the dealer service bay. Additional photos avalable on request. The date is for the latest failure. Today I am at 25 days with no clear path to close this concern.

Due to the ecodiesel settlement program, I allowed fca to update the ECM to meet their requirements for the settlement. After the update, my truck is dangerously slow from a standing start. I never know if the truck will accelerate as I merge into traffic. Sometime it is barely adequate but most of the time there is a 2 to 4 second delay before the turbo kicks in (around 2,000 RPM) and then there is a strong turbo leap because my foot is buried in the floor trying to get the truck to move. I have almost been T-boned or rear-ended several times crossing streets and merging into traffic. This is dangerous and fca told me there isn't anything that can be done because the truck didn't show any error codes.

Was traveling down I485 in charlotte nc. Going to beach. An all of a sudden the truck has no power. I have no pedal it is gone. Had to get it off the side of the road an stopped with white smoke coming out the tail pipes. It was the fuel pump. That time. Nexted time it was the edge valve an sencer. Had no pick up an go. Every since the V08 tune this truck has bad lag lag U can not sure when U R pulling out of an interception if U will get out safe. The lag is terrible. I loved this truck untill the tune. But now cant trust it. Got ot to pull camper but dont trust it now will not own another Ram eco or any thing else.

2014 Ram ecodiesel. Had the emissions update done per the fca class action lawsuit requirements. After the update, my truck has an extremely dangerous turbo/throttle lag. This lag can last anywhere from 2-5 seconds. Additionally, the truck was advertised as 29 mpg on the highway. After the update, I am sitting around 17 mpg. I have lodged a complaint with fca and am still waiting to hear back. This is no longer an emissions issue, this is a safety issue and I can guarantee you it will lead to numerous accidents and possibly death. A simple google search will show that this issue is not unique to my ecodiesel. Almost every Ram and Jeep that had the emissions update is dealing with the same safety risks.

Ecodiesel-post epa required repairs- turbo lag / delayed acceleration. Up to a two second time delay before vehicle will proceed upon full throttle demand to merge into traffic or from a stop sign or needing to pass a vehicle at highway speeds.. the delay will cause an accident to occur. Prior to the epa repairs, vehicle did not have any turbo lag/acceleration issues. One could accelerate with full, partial or minimal throttle and have confidence in the vehicle performing as needed. Discussed this problem with local Ram dealer, they stated there is no current fix being considered by fca. This is a real safety issue with vehicles being involved in accidents as the vehicle thinks about accelerating. Please advise if there are any known remedies for this software issue? thank you in advance for your consideration. Fortunately no bent sheet metal yet.

Fca aem recall. Since getting the emissions recall done the truck no longer responds like it did. It is a life safety issue. The update has mad the truck very sluggish to the point it feels like it is going to stall when trying to start from a stop or merging into traffic on the highway. I have also lost 5-6 mpg since the update and will no long let my wife drive it to do lack of power to even get moving.

I have a 2014 Ram ecodiesel and recently got the aem update. Now when the vehicle hasn't started for 24 hours, there is no acceleration upon start-up. By that I mean you press on the gas pedal and nothing happens for up to 3 seconds. Then it is very sluggish. So it is very dangerous to pull out in traffic. This last for up to 5 minutes after start-up. This happens on every start-up when cold.
