The contact called on behalf of his wife who owns a 2014 Ram 1500. The contact stated while his wife was driving approximately 15 MPH, the vehicle hesitated and stalled. The contact stated that several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The contact was unable to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. The dealer diagnosed a failure with the fuel system. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number 22V406000 (Fuel System, Diesel). The approximate failure mileage was 140,000.

The contact owns a 2014 Ram 1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V406000 (Fuel System, Diesel) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle made abnormally loud noises and then stalled. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the engine needed to be replaced due to fractured rods. The vehicle was not repaired.
