Smell of exhaust fumes in my 4X4 Ram 1500 ecodiesel. At a later date visually seen white fumes that smelled strong of exhaust enter cab though vent system while in reverse, and at a few days later in "drive." "repaired" with a new exhaust gasket by local dealer. Smell still occured and scheduled for another repair in about 2 weeks. Will supply dealer with printout pictures of other owners with same problem. "exhaust front pipe" crack, and very common thoughout all year model ecodiesels 2014-2016 4X2 and 4X4. Had 13 month old firstborn in front seat and needs to be taken more serious by fca (Fiat chrystler America). No pictures as of yet as the part is out of my reach until I request seeing the old replaced part. Fca claims to have "more robust part" but an hour and ten minutes of phone time and I have realized there is no "new" part. Very angry over the situation, as there is no recall for 4X4 models and the 4X4 models use the same part number and part as the 4X2 models. Techs at dealership seem lost. Very easy to find information online in seconds for anybody who looks. Owners that have experienced the problem with same 4X4 model as I, feel very misled and lied to. This is very dangerous and amount of exhaust in cab is completely unsafe and could absolutely cause an accident on the road.

Me and my family (my wife & 2 kids: My oldest is 7 & my youngest is 3) were on a fishing trip. When returning to the boat launch, I backed my boat trailer into the water with my truck. The back tires of my truck are about 2 feet away from the water. I put my truck in park and set my emergency brake. My wife and youngest son got into the truck and began to buckle their seat belts as I set my boat onto the trailer. My oldest stayed on the land. After about 5 minutes of my truck motor running, while still in park, and with the emergency brake on. My wife, who is sitting in the passenger seat, hears somewhat of a pop noise and my truck starts backing into the water. My wife and youngest son are now racing to get out of their seat belts as the truck is starting to slowly sink. Once my wife grabs our son and sits him by her, I am able to get to the door they are by and I am pulling on the door, in water that is up to my chin deep, as she is kicking the door and holding the handle of the door. The door opens and I grab my son and wife and we swam to the boat launch. It is unknown of where the pop noise came from. My wife said it sounded like the emergency brake was released. My tragedy is still under investigation. I have no records as of yet like my police report. It is still being handled with the police department. As of pictures, I have one that I am trying to get from the guy who came tow my truck. I will have all these documents within the next few days.

Vehicle has had a continual vibration/shaking since new. The tire have been replaced twice, balanced 8 times, and the differential has been replaced. The fender flares have also been replaced for detachment with the thought that they may have caused the shaking. I have opened three cases with fca and asked to have the vehicle replaced. The area service representative will not acknowledge a problem even though the dealership does. I strongly believe that it may be a safety concern that is being avoided by fca.

I have had 2 instances with the rotary shift on this vehicle. In both cases I had thought the the vehicle was in park when it was actually in reverse.when the first incident happened I was able to safely stop the vehicle without incident. However, when the second incident happened I had exited the vehicle with my wife as a passenger. Neither of us were able to stop it and continued backwards and struck a parked vehicle that was parked. This caused significant damage to both vehicles. Thankfully, no one was injured and now I am extremely careful when putting this vehicle into the park mode. I checked the push button ignition assuming that in an emergency I could stop the engine but found this would not work. If the circumstances were a bit different the outcome could have been very bad. The incident happened at a car dealers lot whth my vehicle backing and striking on of the cars on their lot.

I had the same issue as the current recall for the cars and SUV rolling away while in park. I have video from my dash camera, the dealership and corporate office also has the video. They claim I just left if in drive, but in the video you can clearly hear the truck shifted into park. The vehicle starts rolling approximately 1 and a half minutes after I parked it in my driveway. I came back out of my house to find the truck had shifted into drive and had crashed up against my workbench in my carport. The truck is still currently at the dealership, and they still claim it is operating normally. (they cannot duplicate the problem).

Numerous electrical problems, blowing fuses, blowing light bulbs, and radio issues. I had to replace three fuses and have only had the brand new vehicle despite it was on the dealers lot with 5 miles on it when I test drove it. In a years time I have had to replace one head light build, one right brake tail light bulb. Had to replace the three brake light due to leaking. I am getting ready to have the third radio replaced by dealer. The dealer has had to also work on the rear window twice which was leaking severally, and the dealer has also replaced the shark fin satellite antenna once. I am also starting to see driver's side window moving roughly not smooth as others three windows still are smooth operation. I have also had five recalls serviced and assumed to have been fixed or maybe they are causing these or other issues!

My vehicle is 2014 with 41,403 mile. The winn module went out where the key no longer recognized was recognized. I had a viper remote starter installed by an professional dealer, after the incident this dealer disconnect the remote and installed a new remote starter. It was told to me that this was the cause. If this was the cause of the module failing it would not have allowed my vehicle to run for over 1 1/2 weeks and the remote would not have had control of all the functions of my truck if it was a problem with the remote starter. The remote starter is the only thing that allow the Ram 1500 to run as normal. I was advised by the dealership that this is a common problem but no recall has been done. I had to pay $373 to get this part replaced when its a known issue they go bad and they go bad with no relation to a remote starter being added to the vehicle. I feel this is unfair for Chrysler/Ram to not cover this part and put the blame on something else when its a known defective issue.

Received initial notice of recall almost 3 months ago. Immediately tried to contact dealer from which the vehicle was purchased, benny boyd bastrop but could not get an answer in service. Left 3 messages but never got a return call. Called South point Dodge in austin but again no answer in service or response to message. Visited South point Dodge and service manager put me on extensive list for service and said she would "call". never called. Have now received 2nd notice of recall. Appears neither wants to accept responsibility for resolution and I don't trust either of them any longer.

Vehicle cannot be locked without horn honking. Both dealer and Chrysler have told me that uconnect 5.0 system has no means of disconnect or reprogramming to eliminate horn honking when car is locked. Local P.D. and California highway patrol confirm that it is a violation for horn to honk - except in emergency or as alarm. See ca. Vehicle code section 27001 & 28085. " locking door indication is a violation of the law." My business requires 24 hour service. Neighbor has told me they will call police, (understandably), if my horn awakens their children again. Chrysler contact told me the uconnect specialist he spoke to has the same issue on his vehicle. Have made 3 contacts with dealer and 2 with Chrysler whom say nothing can be done. It has been suggested that I, "remove the fuse each time you park - then lock the door." And if I forget to reinstall the fuse? seems this is a common source of noise pollution and unfortunately, a manufactures issue. Dealer has been less than helpful.

Due to the recent media coverage on tv I just checked my Ram 1500 for recalls and saw there were 3 outstanding. The only recall I was informed about was R40/NHTSA 15V-461, and I only received that last week in the mail. I have never been informed via mail, email, or phone of any of the other recalls. This is totally unsatisfactory and unsafe. Isn't Ram responsible to notify me of recalls in a timely manner?

While driving the vehicle home from, after hitting the speed limit of 65, the vehicle started to shimmy, side to side, and continued at a higher speed. I called the dealer, and returned the truck to have it serviced, but it did not help. I was told it was flat spots on the tires, and to give it some time. After almost 4000 miles, and 4 visits back for service, I was told there was nothing they could do. All the trucks ride the same. After further investigation, I found out through various forums, that a lot of people are having the same problem, and if the tires are changed out, the problem will go away. The dealer refused to change out the tires. The tires in question are Goodyear Wrangler sr-a, size P275/60R20.

Our '14 Ram 1500 was bought new on 6/22/15. On 8/9/15 our new 2014 Dodge Ram was parked on a incline in a friends driveway. My wife and son got in the truck, started it and put it into reverse to leave. After moving only a few feet my wife noticed the hostess coming down the drive to say goodbye. She placed the truck in park, got out of the vehicle leaving the door open and walked to the front of the truck. While giving the hostess a hug, hostess exclaimed your truck is rolling away. My wife tried to run back and around the door to get in the vehicle. Before she could, the open door took down two mailboxes and 4X4 timber posts they were mounted on and opened the door beyond the spring limit pushing into the front fender and popping out the front head light. The truck rolled across the street into the neighbors yard hitting a power poll where it came to stop. The impact to the poll was strong enough to pull down power lines. Upon reaching the vehicle a male guest noted the vehicle was still in park. My 9 year old was still strapped into his seat belt and significantly shaken up though not injured. The police and utility company arrived. The officer wrote his report up as vehicle malfunction. The tow truck operator said the vehicle could be driven in its condition. He pulled back the door to as close to closed as possible and tied closed. The rear bumper and tailgate are trashed. Insurance adjuster has given preliminary estimate of $8,900. The power company has not contacted us yet about their service call. I guess very fortunate that my wife did not make it around the door as she could have been crushed between the door and two mailboxes. Also thankful the the truck went straight across the street rather than turning and going down a long hill. Have contacted Ram and was promised an investigator would be in touch within 3 days. 4th day and still no contact!

Bought a 2014 Ram 1500 that had 36 miles on it. After about a month I noticed the vehicle would down shift hard. Took it to the dealership they applied an update to the transmission software ran fine for about two months than started lurching slightly between gear changes. Took it to the dealership again they reset the transmission and relearned the programming.the service department said that I should no longer have any issues with my transmission. It worked fine for a day or two and is now down shifting hard again. Apparently there's no way that they can fix my transmission so it runs like it's supposed to. The vehicle only has 2,500 miles on it. A brand new vehicle should not be having issues the transmission. Now I have to call the dealership again and make another appointment to have it looked at for the third time of course I also have to explain that the update they gave me the first time caused another issue. Fun times.

While coming to a stop; traffic light, stop sign, etc. I can feel a hard jerk. I believe it's the transmission shifting to a lower gear but I'm not for certain. The hard jerk doesn't happen too often maybe once a day, but when it does it's very noticeable. I'm concerned this is causing additional stress and fatigue to my transmission and something will either snap or break.

This truck was purchased brand new in Sept 2014. Within the first 4000 miles of driving the brand new vehicle exhaust started to come out from under the hood and started entering the cabin, it now has 22000 miles. I told the dealership and they said to bring it in and found nothing. 10000 miles checkup I told them the same thing but its getting a lot worse so they said it was when they did an oil change and oil got onto the exhaust so they cleaned my undercarriage, but the problem would still occur. 15000 I brought it in again and they replaced my catalytic converter saying that was they issue but as soon as I got home from the dealership it started again. I have since been contacting the dealership constantly because now there is a recall pertaining to the issue I specifically have (high frequency decoupler) recall (R04). Since then they keep telling me the part is on backorder and I just have to wait for it. My truck smokes from under the hood and enters the cabin from the air vents, it gets to the point where you cant drive it without getting dizzy. North star Dodge dealership in san antonio is who I have been contacting with this issue and charles specifically from the service department. There administration has done nothing to alleviate the issue for me or accommodate me in any way. From the time I have had this issue I have contacted the fca multiple times and they tell me the dealership has it on order but can do nothing about accommodating me either. The issue of carbon monoxide poisoning is a large concern for me because I drive me grandmother around who has serious heart conditions, this issue needs to be taken care of immediately and nobody is doing anything to accommodate my safety. Please help my health is at risk and everybody how rides in my vehicle.
