Reference ODI #10715810 reference # 829794 I own a 2014 Ram 1500 tradesman black express, I lodged a complaint in March 2015 regarding rapid and irregular front tire wear at only 7,035 miles. Then began the saga of trying to get suspension corrected. Front end alignment and tire rotation was performed at 7,035 miles, front end alignment was found to be out of spec. (this service was performed at an independent service facility.) at 9.803 detected same wear pattern, alignment was in spec.by same independent repair facility. Ram customer care directed me to daytona Dodge, another alignment was performed, however tracking on road was impaired. At 10,450 miles. Ram customer care directed me to flagler Dodge where another alignment was performed, front end alignment was out of spec and corrected at 10,608 miles. Tire irregular tire wear continued, Ram customer care suggested a four wheel road force tire balance, which I paid for at my own expense. Weight adjustment of 1/4 oz on three wheels and 1/2 oz on one wheel, no change in tire wear. Filed notice of defective vehicle with mfg. Mfg. Had their final attempt to repair at 13,019 miles. Checked under body for damage, none reported, test drove, normal tracking, ordered alignment, was found to be in spec. Had lemon law arbitration board hearing scheduled for 8/27/15, mfg. Filed amended answer to board 5 days before hearing asserting "no defense" and wished to enter private negotiations. Mfg. Is is not willing to negotiate fair settlement, attempting to short refund me $7,339 on vehicle buy back. Mfg is trying to avoid having case heard before arbitration board, but is dictating settlement instead of negotiating. Presented mfg. With ultimatum, with deadline of 9/18/15, if not resolved it will be decided by arbitration board for settlement. If you are having same issue call me: [xxx]. parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

I have brought my truck back to the dealership due to a rattle in my steering wheel. The rattle occurs when traveling from a standstill up to 30 miles per hour. The dealer was made aware of this situation the week that the bought the truck. It has been brought back 5 times, and each time they acknowledged that there was an issue with my steering system. They stated that they could hear the rattle, and would fix it. The first 3 times it was brought to the dealer, they sent me away stating that they corrected the issue. Once I got back home, and encountered bumpy roads, the rattle was still there. The following 2 times it was at the dealership, they sent me away stating that they would not work on my vehicle any further because they did not know what was causing the rattle. They have reseated both the passenger side and drivers side air bags, they tightened a wire harness on my steering column, then they replaced my steering column coupling, and finally they replaced the entire steering column. They have no idea what they are trying to fix. They stated to me that the know there is an issue, but do not know what is causing it. This issue could very well be a safety issue, as it has to do with my steering system. My vehicle has 5000 miles on it, and has been back to the dealer ship 5 times. I have owned the vehicle for 5 months.

While driving the vehicle home from, after hitting the speed limit of 65, the vehicle started to shimmy, side to side, and continued at a higher speed. I called the dealer, and returned the truck to have it serviced, but it did not help. I was told it was flat spots on the tires, and to give it some time. After almost 4000 miles, and 4 visits back for service, I was told there was nothing they could do. All the trucks ride the same. After further investigation, I found out through various forums, that a lot of people are having the same problem, and if the tires are changed out, the problem will go away. The dealer refused to change out the tires. The tires in question are Goodyear Wrangler sr-a, size P275/60R20.

Traveling West on I-4, orlando, fl between sand lake road and exit to 528E at 1:25 pm in left hand lane. As I attempted to change lanes to the right I accelerated slightly and felt a "thump" (the only way I can describe it) through the steering wheel and the truck suddenly accelerated and fish tailed. I lost control for that instant and my truck struck the vehicle to my left in the rear by the tail lights on the passenger side. I was able to regain control of my truck and pull to the side of the road as did the other vehicle. My complaint centers on why the truck suddenly accelerated; what was the "thump" that I felt; is there a problem with the transmission (new design for 2014) and the rear differential; what would cause this sudden acceleration" have there been other complaints of this nature on this or other Chrysler models" please respond asap.

I was driving my Dodge Ram 1500 from milwaukee, wi to memphis, tn on a vacation. While driving at speeds in excess of 80 mph, I noticed a lot of shaking and vibrating from the steering wheel thru the entire cab of the truck. I noticed the same thing when driving back home from memphis. I had taken my truck back to the dealer at an earlier date, however the dealership stated that they didn't notice any vibrating when they drove the truck. They did share that they could not drive my vehicle at excessive speeds, however gave me the same information in my latest complaint on 7/23/2015. I shared my concerns prior to hearing about the current recall on Dodge Ram 1500 trucks and hope that my vehicle doesn't have any safety issues that could lead to injury.

I have an alignment issue with vehicle that is causing feathering of right front tire that has not/cannot be corrected by alignment in two attempts to date. Dealing with manufacturer customer care, my assigned case number is 26625890. Manufacturer has now suggested a road force balance of all four tires, after two alignments have failed to correct feathering problem. Have monitored heat buildup on that tire in relation to the other three and find heat buildup exceeds 110 degrees above other three. Have also discovered three other trucks of same manufacturer, model that are exhibiting same problem, one owner also has open case with customer care as well, his case number is 26745473. We both seem to be getting nothing but lip service from dealers and not much more from manufacturer, with no sincere effort to get to root cause of problem. I believe that this condition extends to more trucks than mine, and warrants further investigation. It appears based on my dealings with manufacturer and dealers that they are not only unable to correct problem, I think they are unaware that a problem even exists. My concern on this issue is safety related, having a fear of a catastrophic tire failure, due to heat and tire pressure build up, as well as feathering as indication of a suspension problem. This issue causing abnormal forces being applied to right front tire. I have all alignment records and dealer service orders available for your review. I have contacted you in compliance with manufacturer recommendations found in lemon law and owners booklets provided by manufacturer.

Took truck in to hoyte Dodge because it has a real bad vibration when driving. After they drove several times and balanced tires still has same problem. They drive it and say they feel nothing wrong with it. Would like some one to look into this for me. I should not be having these problems with a new truck.

There is a continuous unknown electrical draw causing the battery to drain to the point the vehicle will not start. An electrical surge will cause the electric suspension to activate along with the console cluster after the vehicle has been turned off. The vehicle has been back to the dealership 6 times and neither the dealership or Chrysler has a fix. The condition is getting worse and now there is a new issue affecting the electrical clutches in the transmission. I have requested a loaner vehicle until I can purchase a different vehicle I feel is safer. On April 3, 2014, the district Chrysler representative denied the request. I believe this vehicle is unsafe for multiple possible reasons but especially concerned about he alternator. The alternator's function is to recharge the battery once it's been used to start the engine. And to keep the battery charged when various electrical systems are used in the vehicle. The alternator determines how much to charge the battery by measuring the reference voltage from the battery. If there's a problem with the battery where the reference voltage is very low, the alternator will try to recharge the battery. The alternator isn't designed to recharge a dead battery. It's intended to maintain the charge on a good battery. When this does happen, the alternator begins to run hot, and this is what kills the alternator. A dead battery while driving means no electric steering, no antilock brakes, no air bags, ect. I'm very concerned about the safety of this vehicle.
