The check engine light came on at 66700 miles. The fuel gauge dropped to empty. The warning box popped up and said fuel sensor failure. It was about 3/4 full when it happened. Also when the check engine light came on the economizer stopped working. Base on a internet search the number of people experiencing the exact same problem there should be a recall made on the vehicles! the fact that you lose your economizer causing increased fuel consumption and there by wasting gas should send a warning for this to be recalled immediately. Thank you for time.

Engine caught fire due to egr system overheating (maybe burning internally) melting then spontaneously catching foam rubber pad above the egr diffuser tube on fire. Resulted in melting wires, hose and other parts attached to engine. Was quickly put out with a fire extinguisher. Was driving to menards in normal Illinois and smelled smoke at first stop light, thought it was van next to me. At next stop light smelled the smoke again and pulled into menards parking lot. Saw lots of smoke coming out from under hood. Raised hood looking for where smoke was coming from. Saw a small flame, went to back of truck and took out fire extinguisher. Went to front of truck and flame had turned to flames, extinguished fire.

After V08/V11 recall was performed I now experience loss of acceleration till warm up. Like a dead pedal. Also a loss of a confirmed 5-6mpg. It was stated in the recall we would not loose mileage. If we did it would be very minimal. 5mpg is not minimal. My truck will barely stay in 8th gear now. Just bouncing between 7th and 8th. Now everyone is worried about all the fires due to egr valves sticking open and causing the plastic intake manifolds to catch fire. My wife is very nervous to take it on trips or even park it in the garage. We had new smoke detectors added in garage incase truck does catch on fire. Please look into these issues. There are more than you think. Pedal issue, loss of fuel mileage, engine compartment fires. Thanks

The radio in the 2015 Ram trucks has a lot of issues. The navigation will randomly go out, there is jo way to fix the issue, the issue fixes its self in time and without warning will go out again. The radio will not turn on at times, so all controls that go through the radio are also out. To get power to come back on I have to turn the truck on amd off several times. The part number for my radio is 1C6rr7nm1fs[xxx]. my truck is a laramie ecodiesel model. There have been hundreds of people who have had issues with the radios. Ram knows of these issues but does nothing about it, treats it as tough luck. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

I have a check engine light prompted by a fuel sensor fail warning. At times when the tank is full the light goes out and the fuel gauge works. When the tank gets to about 3/4 the check engine light comes on and the gauge drops to empty. I have looked in several repair forums and have discovered that this is a widespread problem on several year models. Furthermore, it is an expensive repair costing anywhere from about $700 to $1,000 dollars. In these forums mechanics are advising not to replace the sensor with mopar parts as the issue will occur again. Obviously these are substandard or defective parts. There should be a recall on these sensors. To add further frustration, I cannot get an annual inspection sticker with the check engine light on.

2015 Ram eco diesel. Recently, Ram and Jeep were involved in "in re: Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep "ecodiesel" mdl, " which resolved legal claims asserting that the vehicles do not comply with federal and state emissions regulations and that Fiat Chrysler made misrepresentations to consumers regarding the vehicles. I pulled this info from the eco diesel settlement website. In response to the above, customers were to get (3) things; (1) V08 software update; (2) money, dependent on your ownership status; and (3) a 10 warranty extension. I had the V08 software update completed at the end of may, 2019. Since that update, my vehicle has had poor performance with lack of power and acceleration. Within a week of having the update done, my check engine light was on with the electronic throttle warning light on as well. I took the vehicle to the dealership and they fixed the issue; however, the lack of acceleration and power remained. Through June and July this lack of power and acceleration continued. I then took my vehicle in to the dealership towards the end of July and they opened a star report and told me this recall is having negative effects on a lot people's vehicles. I then took the truck back and was driving at the end of July when the electronic throttle control warning light came on again. This time, there was a smell similar to burning electrical. I pulled over and the within minutes the truck was engulfed in flames. Fire personal were called and the fire was put out, but not before it engulfed the engine compartment and front of the cabin in flames. I filed a claim with my insurance and contacted fca. Both parties sent fire investigators out to look at the vehicle. Fca says, with the info at hand, the fire can't be associated with a manufacturing or assembly error. I also contacted the class action attorneys and sent them information from the fire as well.

On 7/29/19 at approximately 12:30 pm, was traveling between 60 - 65 mph, West bound on interstate 40 at N.C. mm 31, the truck lost power (limp in mode), the check engine & service automatic throttle control system lights came on. Noticed a small amount of white smoke emitting from the underside of the truck. Coasted off of the interstate and came to rest in a used car dealership's parking lot. Turned the truck off and opened the hood where I found an approximately 8' flame projecting from under the plastic manifold cover. Doused the flame with a bottle of drinking water and took the plastic cover off where I found the wiring harness sheathing engulfed in flames. Extinguished that with an abc dry chemical extinguisher. Currently the truck is at waynesville Ram with no updates as of yet. Had the egr recall completed on 6/19/19 at waynesville Ram and had noticed decreased power and fuel mileage since but the decreases were minor and just accepted as fact from the recall. I am very concerned at present after researching this situation and conversing with others who have experienced very similar events with the same motor.

Took the truck in for a recall reflash of a controller. Two weeks later, at 58mph, without warning dashboard lite up numerous symbols/codes and engine shutoff, losing power steering and power brakes. I steered vehicle onto side of road, and engine would not restart. Took first dealership 4 weeks to diagnosis a crank position tone wheel, and sensor failure. Vehicle was returned then 2 weeks later, while refueling at a gas station same failure occurred with diesel engine stoppage, and no restart. Vehicle was taken to second Chrysler dealership. Vehicle has been in second dealership for 11 weeks, "undergoing diagnosis". as of 6/6/2019, no solution found. Frankly, I do not believe they have a clue what is causing the random engine shut off, nor how to repair it. This is what makes it such a frightening defect. It appears random, with absolutely no warning until the dashboard lights up and instantaneously the engine shuts off. How am I suppose to drive a vehicle with my two children around, when it could stall at any time at any speed" I've been lucky twice. Once at 58mph on a two lane road, once stationary. What if it fails merging on to an expressway, or crossing a railroad track"
