After receiving the emissions recall update V08 on my Ram ecodiesel it now has a lag when pressing the gas pedal that has nearly resulted in me being hit by other drivers because the truck will not accelerate properly. This is most noticeable when at a stop and making a left hand turn.

Purchase new at dealer, problem with forward movements after full stop. Take to dealer and was told to wait, transmission would learn. No improvements, take to dealer again, they redo software and advice to drive minimum 700 miles. No improvements after 3000 miles. Went back to dealer, drove with transmission mechanic and was told that some Ram's have a problem and they are working on new software.decide to wait for fix. With almost 31,000 miles take to dealer again. Transmission was checked ( 9 days at dealer shop ). final result, transmission down shifting between 2-1 there is jerk feeling ( normal ). I demanded that dealer put on worksheet invoice that transmission is pushing truck forward after full stop ! dealer do not put this on invoice. I have a forward movement after stop ( like somebody rear ended me, get bumped to ) and not complaining about hard downshifting. Time to time, this forward movement is very "strong" and in rush hours driving close to other cars I can really hit car front of me. At each stopping, is very unpleasant filling. Must applied more pressure at brakes at each time making stop. Owned lots of cars in my life and never have one which did similar problems even after hundreds thousands miles.

The contact owns a 2016 Ram 1500. The contact turned their vehicle on and attempted to reverse from their parking space, however the vehicle hesitated to reverse. The contact mentioned that there was a trailer attached to the rear of the vehicle which made it difficult to reverse. The "R' for reverse illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact called atlantic Dodge (555 sunrise hwy, West islip, NY 11795 (631) 422-01230) where the mechanics stated that they where unfamiliar with the failure expereinced. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 72,031.

Around 2-3 thousand RPM my 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 tradesman with 23,000 miles get this horrible vibration that seems to originate from the transmission area of the vehicle. This vibration feels like it could be the driveshaft or transmission. Doesn't matter how fast I'm going, as soon as I let off the gas and the truck begins to downshift I start feeling the vibration once I press the gas to accelerate again it's feels like the whole bottom of the truck is vibrating brought the gas pedal as if I'm riding on a rumble strip. I literally have to almost floor it for the vibration to go away.

Sometime when switch transmission control to reverse and drive and park it seems to go into neutral and will roll back or forward I have to turn the knob back and forth a few time then seems to go into place not sure if that has anything to do with that recall for rollaway or not nhtsa17V821000. I've been setting my enrage ever time I park due to worry about that. And I am stationary when this happens.usually parking or when I try to leave from being parked or also when trying to to from drive to reverse. Other than that truck seems to run and drive properly.

Total engine failure. Chrysler in process of replacing engine that was repaired at 1oi miles for the same problem. Transmission has stuck in either 3rd or 5th gear and would not downshift or upshift - second time the transmission has done this. Have a video proving shifting faults. In both instances, the vehicle was either idling or in motion for the engine failures and was in motion in both instances when with the transmission failure. Several dealer recalls have been made on the vehicle that did not involve either of the above. Window clips have been replaced for driver side front window several times because they either break or come off and have to be repaired with new clips each time. If they are not replaced, there is a risk that the window will crash inside the door if attempt is made to roll down or roll up the power window. Vehicle is currently in the dealership shop for engine replacement; documentation is not yet available for this instance but can be provided when it becomes available.

Transmission shifting knob periodically will not allow vehicle to obtain a gear and moving the vehicle is impossible until multiple attempts to engage a forward or reverse gear is successful. This has occurred a number of time and the last time I was making a U turn on a narrow dirt road when in the middle of the road I could not obtain any gear. Another vehicle approached at a high rate of speed and fortunately was able to stop before a collision occurred. Note. This problem did not occur until a recall 'auto park functionality'was completed on 11/29/18

A police report was filed. There were no injuries. Carolina Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (891 us-1, lugoff, SC 29078, (803) 438-9160) was called and stated that there were no recalls. The contact scheduled a diagnostic appointment for next week. The manufacturer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 53,000.

I have a 2016 Ram 1500, crew cab, 4X4 with 20K miles. I bought it brand new and have it serviced at the dealership I bought it from. For about the past 4 weeks, I have noticed a hard downshift when approaching a stop light or stop sign in my 2016 Ram 1500. I have brought it in to my purchasing Chrysler dealership and this is what they have been told. 'fca engineering is aware of a 2nd-1st downshift bump concern and is gathering information on the shifting concern. For now, they have deemed this shift as an operating characteristic.' To have a vehicle 3 years old and 20K miles, and saying I have to accept this transmission issue is unacceptable. If this is how it is going to be, fca will not be getting any more of my business.

After putting truck into reverse then putting in back into forward gear the truck will not recognize the fact it is suppose to go forward. Not in 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive. This has happened to us twice. I have found out you have to actually turn the truck off and then restart. First time I had to do this a couple of times this last time it then went into forward drive with the 4 wheel drive setting. The first time was in a parking lot. The second time I was on a road in front of our home. I had stopped to check the mail and had to back up in order to go into our driveway. After backing up it would not go forward.

The contact owns a 2016 Ram 1500. While driving 65 mph, the vehicle decelerated to 40 mph and all the instrument panel indicators illuminated. The failure was experienced several times. The vehicle was taken to jim hayes Inc (2130 us-45 harrisburg, il 62946, (618) 252-8611) where it was determined that the failure was due to driver error. The dealer advised that the brake pedal switch be replaced. The contact also stated that the gear knob failed to switch into reverse and drive. The contact planned to take the vehicle back to the dealer for the knob shifting failure. The manufacturer was contacted. The manufacturer's engineer inspected the vehicle and stated that the deceleration failure was due to driver error. The approximate failure mileage was 700.

Back in the end of August/beginning of September 2016 I took my 2016 Ram 1500 in for shifting problems with the transmission. After 2 weeks of waiting they replaced the valve assembly part on the transmission. After 3 days I noticed I could not get out of 1st gear. I called the dealership in easley SC and was told to bring it so they can troubleshoot the problem again. On 9/17/2016 it was determined to have a bad transmission and I was told that Ram was replacing with a brand new transmission, however there was not an eta for delivery. I was told that the local rep would follow up on the status and no one has ever heard back from him either. I have been in touch with the corporate customer service case managers and they can not even get an eta for the part. The truck also needs (2) recalls corrected as well. II asked about a loaner and was told until they have an eta on the part they could not provide a loaner. So I am not forced to drive a truck with a bad transmission. Also I want to mention that the truck is being repaired under the original manufacture's warranty. My extended mopar warranty has not even kicked in yet. So basically I have a truck that the company can not get a major part under the warranty. I can barely get out of 1st gear and when it does I suffer a very hard jolt which is very dangerous. I can only hope that Ram is held accountable for this.

I have a 2016 Ram 1500 slt quad cab. 5.7 liter hemi automatic transmission rotors dial shifter. On several occasions when put in park vehicle was still in reverse. Have mentioned it to the dealership the last 2 oil changes. They just ignored it. Yesterday 9/3/2018 went out to move the truck. Put it in drive, selector showed drive and truck went in reverse when I gave it gas. This caused me to hit my sprinter van doing damage to both vehicles. Now I'm leery of driving it. It took several tries to get it to go into drive. Please help. After googling this I saw that there is a recall. Called Chrysler and was told my truck is not in the recall.

July 2nd I pulled into my driveway, opened my garage door, placed vehicle in park and exited vehicle to go in the house. My fiance stayed in vehicle, I turned and yelled to her to come in house as I was going to let dogs out before we left again.I proceeded in house and she exited vehicle to come in.she walked through the garage and I heard her screaming frantically, I ran out to the garage and the truck followed her into the garage and she was between my workbench and the truck.I pulled her out of the way and the truck continued pushing my basement wall in about 7 inches. I ran around the truck and applied the brakes, it was in park.we contacted Fiat Chrysler, they sent me a paper to sign allowing them to get information from the orc in the vehicle, which I allowed.on Friday July 20th we met with an inspector and he hooked up computers to the truck to get the information stating he sends report to fca and they would notify us.we got a letter yesterday July 27th basically stating per our owners manual we should always use emergency brake and declined any responsibility. Never stated or shared what the ocr results showed.this could have killed someone and the rotary shifter is a problem.a few days after the incident while driving on a beautiful sunny day the wipers start up full boar like it was pouring out.they were in the off position. Something is wrong and they are taking no responsibility. We have been to the dealer and there is probably $3500 to 5000 damage just to vehicle. Grill is broke, headlight housing fender and bumper damage. Repairs to basement wall and my fiance was black and blue and sore, hip area and ankle.
