For the second time in about a year my truck has given the error code of "service electronic throttle control." I took it in and was told it was a computer update and it was fixed. Right at about a year later, the same error code appeared. With this error, power to the vehicle is reduced causing safety issues as your ability to maintain speed or accelerate is greatly diminished. I do not know if the part itself was inspected during the original service and computer update. There were no warning lamps or symptoms prior to the error message coming up on the instrument cluster.

The fuel sensor has failed which causes us not to know how much gas is in the vehicle. The vehicle only has 30,800 miles on it. There is another issue that we are currently getting checked. The vehicle would not start even with a jump. After leaving it on trickle charge we got to to start but the traction control light came on the service shifter light came, and it said there were no pressure in the tires. We parked the vehicle and had someone come pick us up due to us not feeling safe because it was shifting weird. We had to have it towed to a dealer and they are currently diagnosing it.

My trucks fuel gauge sensor is reading empty even though I have a full tank. Code P0463. It is from a faulty part/ float on the fuel pump. This is a huge problem in many Ram 1500 models and needs to be recalled. Truck stalled and thankfully restarted. I was backing out of a parking spot when this occurred. The dealership knows the issues in the Ram but wants me to pay for this safety issue. Have others reported this issue?

Having issues when pumping gas, the gas pump stops when fueling the entire time due to the fueling filler neck. If placing the fuel handle properly it locks onto the fuel neck filler and doesnt let fumes exit and chokes up. Beyond difficult to take off and to pump fuel.

I have a 2017 Ram 1500 eco diesel. I have received a recall on it for the diesel egr cooler. I brought the vehicle in once and after a computer check with the service department, they said that it did not need to be replaced. Chrysler sent me more recall notices that said I needed to get it repaired. I spoke with Chrysler and told them that I had it checked and they informed me that I did need to have the recall fixed. I scheduled another appointment for Oct 16 to get it fixed. After my truck was at the dealership all day, I decided to call and get the status on the repair only to be informed that the service department was not going to repair it because there was no check engine light or leak. I found this odd for a safety recall, so I checked with Chrysler again and read the recall instructions. The instructions clearly state that the recall is to be fixed and the only reason to check for a light or a leak is to see if the manifold is bad also. Im not sure why any safety recall would not be fixed asap, especially when the recall says to get it fixed immediately..

Fuel sensor failure: As soon as the fuel level in the tank goes below half tank while driving, the sensor fails and shows no fuel in the tank. Driver has no accurate idea of the correct fuel amount until you refill the tank to above the half tank level. There is a recall that exist for other models of 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 trucks. (recall # 17V434000). My vehicle did not have the recall listed under its criteria. An attempt was made to get this recall applied to my vehicle at a local dealership. However, the service manager would not, or could not, fix this problem on my vehicle without an applied recall. This vehicle was purchased Nov 26th, 2017. The 1st occurrence of this malfunction was in June 2018.

I live in ca and after fueling 2017 Ram rebel the fuel nozzles has gotten stuck multiple times, I cant even stick the nozzle half ways to fuel because then it clicks and stops fueling. My girlfriend cant borrow the truck in fear that if she tries to pump gas it will get stuck on her too. It really shouldn't be this much of a hassle to pump gas. This always happens when I am trying to pump gas.

Fuel pump and fuel tank gauge are one assembly. System failed at 50K miles. Dealer indicated this is a known problem and entire assembly must be changed at a cost of $1200. Ram will not cover under warranty. I contacted Chrysler/Ram support and they said they would not be able to assist.

With a full fuel tank everything is good. Between 3/4 and 1/2 tank the fuel gauge goes to empty, out of gas light blinks and fuel sensor fail light comes on. 5 minutes later gauge is back to 3/4 tank and fuel sensor fail engine warning still on. Made a few stops and engine fail light goes off. Then it all starts over and over.fuel sensor fail and gauge goes to empty.only 429201 miles. Dangerous defect. Common complaint

Notice vb!/NHTSA 19V-757 received December 2019. Advised today by fca fix not available until April 2020 earliest. Failure of recalled part, diesel egr cooler, may result in engine fire. Unacceptable that replacement part is not immediately available! I have reduced driving this vehicle due to uncertainty.

Fuel sensor failure on two different occasions. One was replaced (fuel rail pressure sensor) and the other has not been yet due to the very high price of the repair ($800 - $1000). Fuel gauge reads full and then suddenly drops to empty. I have been advised that this is a common problem.

I filled up my vehicle with fuel on Tuesday. I was driving down the highway Thursday when all the sudden the fuel light came on along with a message. Then I noticed my fuel gauge read empty. I know it wasn't empty because I filled up 2 days earlier. I went through the notification tabs and went to messages and when I opened the message it read, "fuel sensor fail" about 5 minutes later the check engine light came on and both lights stayed on. Fuel gauge still reads empty. The truck only has 40350 miles on it and seams to be too soon for anything like this to happen.

Fuel nozzle gets stuck when filling up at gas stations. I've had this truck a year and a half now and it's so frustrating. Cannot go to costco as it gets stuck and constantly clicks off, 10 gallons after thirty minutes! on another instance the attendant had to come out with a screwdriver and pry up the nozzle and yank it out! on a new truck? seriously! it's a documented issue all over the internet, fca made the fuel angle too steep and not enough room to adjust once it's in the neck. I now have to barely insert the nozzle so it doesn't click in or seal against the filler neck, bypassing the epa controls and hold it so it won't get stuck or click off! so in essence to fuel up I have to pollute more, stupid! if in doubt check the internet for Ram owners forums, it's all over the place.
