The contact owns a 2018 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving 50 MPH, the service electronic control warning light was illuminated and the vehicle went into Limp Mode. The contact was able to drive to his residence while experiencing the failure. The contact took the vehicle to a local dealer who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The mechanic cleared the code. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure was experienced three days later. The contact took the vehicle back to the dealer who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The mechanic cleared the fault code and reset the computer. The vehicle was repaired but continued to experience failure again three days later. The contact took the vehicle back to the dealer for a third time and again the mechanic was unable to determine the cause of the failure but informed the contact that the vehicle needed to have the pressure checked. The dealer stated that the equipment to service the vehicle was not available to them. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact took the vehicle to a second local dealer: Baxter Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Papillion (14920 Crest Road, Omaha, NE 68138: (402) 819-6852) and was informed that the VIN was associated with NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V406000 (Fuel System, Diesel) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The dealer also informed the contact that the turbo needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. Parts distribution disconnect. The failure mileage was approximately 66,300.

The contact owns a 2018 Ram 1500. The contact stated that the vehicle was experiencing hard starts and was making abnormal sounds. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V406000 (Fuel System, Diesel). The contact stated that unknown parts were replaced; however, the failure recurred increasingly while driving. The contact stated that while her husband was driving 40-50 MPH, the vehicle stalled inadvertently. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact's husband was unable to veer to the side of the road. The contact's husband was able to restart the vehicle and drove to his residence. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but did not provide any assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000.
