Recall T79/NHTSA 17V=V-821. I keep getting recall notice from fca. But I take time off of work to take the vehicle to the dealer, wait all day, not hear anything, then finally return to the dealer to be told there is no remedy or no parts. I am not wasting any more of my time due to fca's incompetent engineers and dealers. They will now have to come to me to fix this recall, once they figure out how to fix it.

May 2016, after coming home from work, I parked my Ram in my driveway. The truck started to roll forward (slight decline) after I put into park. It went about 5 feet before I was able to reach in and push the emergency brake. This was not easy, as I am disabled from a brain tumor surgery at mskcc- causing balance, back, and hip nerve issues and use a cane. I thought it was user error. Fast forward to October 2017. My truck was parked 30 feet in front of my garage, in front of a utility pedestal 10 feet away. I went inside. Later that day, I came out and my truck had rolled, by itself, into the pedestal- denting the bumper in. I thought, my goodness, what if my 2 kids were outside playing? I called mopar directly right away and was told that it there are no recalls. I paid to have the bumper pulled out, but the passenger side fender has a small spot of rust where it crunched. I know it will spread from there. Now, I receive a letter from mopar saying that the truck can slip out of park on its own- recall T79. I do not feel safe with the truck. I love the Ram, but park on the side of the road for 7 months because of this. I will be satisfied if my truck is bought back and I buy a different one- and if not, I am sending this complaint and will be having my attorney commence a lawsuit. This can be a fatal issue and if my family gets injured, it will be a wrongful injury or worse. Please let me know how to proceed.

The contact owns a 2015 Ram 2500. The contact stated that the contact received notification of NHTSA campaign numbers: 17V562000 (engine and engine cooling) and 17V821000 (power train). The parts to do the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact called a local dealer (scott robinson Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, 20900 hawthorne blvd, torrance, ca 90503) and was informed that the parts were not available. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and opened case number: 3585335. The manufacturer was not able to confirm when the parts were to become available. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

1 to 2 second lag time in throttle response when first taking off from a dead stop. This can be dangerous when operating in heavy traffic. A very noticeable delay in response when pedal is placed in full throttle position. This is a continual condition. This is not a once only or occasional occurrence. This is a permanent condition.

Recall complaint. Scheduled an apt with dealership to address two recalls (17V-302, 17V-821). Parts are either not available or there is not a remedy. I am supposed to just keep checking with the stealership to find out when theses safety issues can be addressed.

Often referred to as dead pedal. There is a delay from the time the accelerator is pressed to the time the vehicle accelerates. Can be very dangerous when merging into traffic from a stop, or accelerating to change lanes while traveling. It feels as though the faster you push the pedal, the slower it responds.

Truck has an issue with the gas pedal at times from a start the truck does not immediately respond to input by the right foot. Also, if accelerating and then you take pressure off to re press the pedal to go it does not respond for a 1-2 second or so period. This problem is repeatable at any time by doing what was stated. This is a safety issue where as if the driver needs immediate acceleration to get out of a possible collision and theres not response from the input placed on the pedal it could cause a serious accident. I have owned 7 Dodge vehicles, an 02 Ram, 04 Ram, 05 gcaravan, 09 Ram, 17 durango, and the 15 Ram 2500, out of all the vehicles I have owned none of them have had this issue. All of them but the 02 have the electric fly by wire throttle system. This needs to be addressed by fca immediately! it is a well known issue for the last few model years. Do people have to die to correct? this happens on my truck daily while driving. Speed is not dependent is when you take pressure of the pedal for a second or when at a stop and accelerating.

On 5 occasions the truck shifted from park into reverse while running. During one of these events on 31 Oct 2017 I was behind the truck setting up to "pull" a fence tight. Approximately 5 minutes after I got out of the truck it shifted into reverse and knocking me to the ground. I was struck again just as the drivers door (which was open) caught a fence post and stopping the truck. Before this incident I reported the problem to my dealership in Dec 2016. I notified Ram care the day of the incident and they effectively blew me off for 15 days before sending an independent inspector. I received Fiat Chrysler's response on 3 Mar 2017. They found no fault with the vehicle, trans, linkage, parking pawl and brake. Telling me it was my fault for leaving the vehicle running while not in it. On 4 of these occasions I was in it. On 6 other occasions when turning the truck off I had to cycle the trans selection lever from pank and back to park.

The contact owns a 2015 Ram 2500. While attempting to start the vehicle, it failed to start. The contact also stated that the vehicle could be placed into gear when the key was not in the ignition, and the steering wheel would not lock. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the ignition switch failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the gear shifter persisted to fail. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 83,000.

Driving over 45 mph. The truck has a bad shake in the steering wheel, seat, floor ect.. took it to have wheels balanced, rotated, aligned all come back ok. No change at all and feels like the wheels are going to fall off. Bought after market wheels and new tires $3500 to posibly fix maybe a defective wheel or something... no change. It has to be a driveline issue. This issue is on even the smoothest new paved roads no change.

Engine: Heavy diesel smell when coming to a stop or at a stop when the def regeneration process in active. Power train: Loud clunk noise from driveline shifting from 3/4 or 4/5 and letting off the accelerator at the right time. Speed control: Dead accelerator pedal. This occurs if there is a slight acceleration followed by a release of the pedal and an immediate re-application of full throttle. The response is delayed by 3-4 seconds or not at all.

The vehicle has a noise in either the engine or the transmission when cold. It's a squeak. The vehicle has been back to two different dealers seven times and I'm told this noise is normal operation. I find impossible there would be a noise designed into a new vehicle.

At random times with the rear end pointed down hill. I start up the truck up in park, then shift into drive and when I release the brake the truck will roll backwards, I go back reapply the brakes as soon as I can wait a short time, then ease the brakes off slowly and it drives normally. The transmission slips backwards at random times when in drive. This has happened mostly after being parked, it has also happened when I have been stopped on the highway when waiting for road work.

Brand new 2015 Ram 2500 laramie limited 4X4 picked it up and within two weeks we drove to wi from fl. Noticed slop in the rear end more than any other Ram I've owned. Also had a vibration between 65 and 78 took it back explained I thought the drive train had issues. The dealer had it for one day and gave it back saying "we balanced tires and didn't hear any clunk". I test drove, issues still there took it back and the dealer kept it for 3 days and called and said "all done we changed/warranted two rear tires they were bad". "moved rear tires to the from back to front. Tightened the def bracket and trans mount clunk gone". I test drove issues both still there. I returned it to the dealer they said "oh yes we feel it, we put on 2 rear rotors and right rear hub, we still feel the vibration and the sloppy rear end." We called Chrysler to put in a case. After one week I called and asked whats going on. "we are still getting information from Chrysler". I called week two and was told "Chrysler is sending out an engineer should be here Monday or Tuesday of this week (10/12/2015 or 10/13/2015) I said I want to be onsite when they arrive to protect my interest in a $71000 vehicle. I was told today now the "engineer isn't coming but he drove a vehicle equipped as mine in N fl and no vibration present". I told him I am close to putting in a case for lemon law and with the NHTSA, he chuckled and said "I will be in touch when Chrysler calls me with more instruction." I again stated I am serious I cannot afford to do this and need my vehicle for work. He said "I'll call ya". please do something to help or direct Chrysler Ram to recall or get a new same equipped truck here for me. There are 851 port on the cummins site with the same issue we are trying to get to post here immediately.
