Takata recall. I received the recall notice in May 2016 for my vehicle. We have stopped using the passenger seat. This is greatly impacting our lives. We have been waiting 10 months, and there are still no parts available. This is unacceptable. In February 2017, we got a recall notice, for the same issue, on our second car, 2012 Toyota corola. We cannot safely Transport our family in either car now. We need takata to expedite the repairs and provide us with free transportation in a vehicle that does not put our lives at risk.

Takata recall-received notice of airbag recall in June 2016. It is now February 2017 and on 2/24/2017 I called the hotline to inquire when the problem would be solved. The remedy that the notice gave us was not to have anyone sit in front passenger seat. This has become a problem for us as this is not always possible. I was informed that no remedy has been found yet. Since June 2016 I have received numerous mailings from Toyota offering to buy back my car at a low price. It seems like Toyota wants us to either turn in our car for a new vehicle or wait until the vehicle is too old to fix. When will this problem be resolved. A temporary fix should have been in place when the original notices were sent but that is not the case. I was told that the dealership should give us a loaner. I am sure that this would not be the case especially when no repair is even available. Can you please advise when the remedy will become available??

Takata recall contacted Toyota of tri cites to schedule an appointment to rectify air bag as per Toyota's letter of recall received in January 2017. They said no parts available now or in the near future. Would not supply loaner car. Was told to not put passengers in front seat if I was concerned about the problem but probably no big deal due to low humidity in our area.

Takata recall. We have 3 company Scion that have had a recall for over six months. Toyota still hasn't called us to have the air bags replaced. When we call, they say their out of stock. I would like them to buy back these vehicles, as it is effecting our company business! the VIN's are [xxx], [xxx], [xxx]. I just received 2 more Scion recalls for a total of 5 vehicle in our fleet where we can't take a client or passenger out. I have 7 more Scion that I'm sure will be on the recall list, which they are slow to send out and could cost lives!! information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Takata recall, received recall for airbags in May 2016 by Toyota dealer letter stated (your airbag if exploded could cause serious harm or even death. At this time we cannot fix the problem, we will notify you when the problem can be resolved. We suggest no rider on passenger side.that was nine months ago as of Jan 28 2017 have not heard from Toyota, I'm just a little person have to use a pillow to see better and the seat has to be real close to steering wheel. If the airbag inflates my face will be gone and I will most likely die. Toyota should do something fast about this matter. I have nothing to upload at this time. Please get Toyota to take care of this serious matter before it's to late. Thank you. I could not continue with out putting in a date. No accident so I put the date I received the recall letter from Toyota.

Takata recall was notified of airbag defect in July 2016. It is January 2017 and no replacement or solution has been offered. Recall recommendation was to have unoccupied passenger front seat until airbag is fixed. This is a major inconvenience for a family vehicle. A call to Toyota this morning resulted in no eta for the fixing of this part. This is absolutely unacceptable.

Takata recall been waiting for Toyota/Scion to fix airbag problem since summer of 2016. Last time I talked to them they said poss Jan. Just called again Jan 24,2017. Now they say they cannot given a time frame. How long are we suppose to wait? feel like its an inconvenience because no one can ride w me in the front passenger seat. Which seems ridiculous when its only me and one other person in the car.

Takata recall: Received notice of this recall June 2016, Toyota dealer we bought from still cannot make repairs/replace airbags. It is a major danger and inconvenience to not be able to use the vehicle. They and Toyota seem un-interested in getting this done and should be held liable for the loss of use. If it cannot be reppaired in a timely manner they should provide a loaner or replacement vehicle.
