I took my 2007 Camry le (~30K mileage) in for 5K mile service (via my Toyota prepaid maintenance contract 4 yr/55K.) & technician found a leaking front strut. I was told that I'll have to replace the strut & do the alignment for ~$1100 from my own pocket. He mentioned that the struts is heavily leaking. When I asked him, how it happened, he said that it didn't happen overnight & happens gradually. Since it is not under warranty anymore (Toyota never told me about this leak on purpose, when it was under warranty), the guy said that I'll have to pay for all expenses. Toyota is a fraud company & should pay for all these damages for hiding the truth from customers so that they'll wait until the warranty is over & then they'll try to rip off the customer. I'll appreciate if some one can pay attention to this issue & ask for recall of these faulty struts as soon as possible, since there are too many complaints for 2007 Toyota Camry especially when you need to replace struts at so less mileages (~30,000) !!!!

I took my 2007 Camry (approx. 36,000 mileage) in for 5000 mile service (oil change, fluid checks, tire rotation, etc.) technician found a leaking front strut. I was told they would replace the one strut. After checking online and speaking with Toyota customer experience center at 1-800-331-4331 a case number was opened and it was recommended by a technician that struts be replaced as a pair. Car has had a very floaty, bouncy, out of control feel on highway dips. It is Saturday so I am awaiting a call on Monday as to whether or not the dealer/service department will replace as a pair. I have Toyota platinum coverage with no deductible so this should be free but I see enough complaints online regarding this issue to feel I should also report it.

We just moved to Nevada and began noticing that after driving at highway speeds of 75mph that the car will make a rubbing, grinding sound in the front end for the next ten+ miles at low city speeds. It is definitely connected to the front wheels as the sound speeds or slows as the driving speed does. It is becoming longer after each trip to town. We drive 50 miles at the high speed to get to the metropolis. All driving is on paved roads. Concern that we may have front end problems driving at high speeds and possible accidents. Toyota has no place to request or look up the problem on their website.

High beam headlights came on and would not turn off. Fuses had to be pulled due to the battery being drained. Online research shows there is an apparent problem with the headlight relay or switch but there is no information online where they are located. Also there is a severe knocking noise in the front end. The rack and pinion had to be changed as well as the struts and the car doesn't even have 50K miles on it. Toyota is junk!

I was stop at the stop light waiting for the light to turn green. When light turn green, I proceeded to make left hand turn into the undivided ramp. The steering would not return to the right. I turn the steering wheel as fast as I can to the right, but vehicle would not go to the right. On coming traffic hit me head on and collided head on with no air bags deployed at all. Bruised on head due to hitting head on driver side window. Insurance company had taken all parts for investigation. My left wheel was torn in half like it was open up by a can opening. Ball joints were off also.

Toyota Camry 2007 - persistent vibration steering at highway speed - not being resolved by a series of attempts such as balancing, tire replacement, alignment, brake component replacement. The steering vibration was part of a Toyota service bulletin but despite the specific instruction on how to fix the problem, the vibration was never eliminated. Lately, vehicle also showing vibration when braking - also at highway speeds. Brake repaired at dealer without results. Toyota dealer has provided no further resolution option. The concern is if this is a result of the original steering vibration with the vehicle showing further deterioration.
