The contact owned a 2015 Toyota Camry. While driving approximately 25, a strong burning odor of plastic emitted inside the vehicle and small flames ignited underneath the hood. The vehicle was maneuvered to a safe location. The flames became progressively worse and the front end of the vehicle became engulfed in large flames. The fire department extinguished the fire. A police and fire report were both filed. There were no personal injuries. The vehicle was destroyed and towed to the dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure.
