My wife's 2018 Camry rolled away down our driveway while the shifter was in park. It's got 33K miles on it. On the way down the hill, it clearly engaged the parking pin because it drug the front wheels 10 or so feet before hitting my neighbors house. The car was running, I hopped out after putting it in park and all four doors unlocked. I put a package in the rear driver side, went to open the trunk, my wife (who was sitting in the passengers seat) hit the remote on the keys in the ignition, and the car rolled backwards and nearly hit me. All four doors relocked, the pawl clicked until it engaged as it rolled away. It jumped the street, and park engaged and it slid the last 15 or so feet. The car was still running until my wife removed the key. The shifter assembly was in park the entire time.

Hesitation and major jerk when accelerating at low mph from a rolling stop. Tsb #T-sb-0152-19_rev should be applied to practically every Camry from 2018 & 2019. Unfortunately I can not have this done to my car because my VIN is not supported in this bulletin, I have no idea why it wouldn't be but it definitely should be because this is a major problem with my car every single day. It's getting extremely frustrating and it feels like my engine/transmission are going to fail soon and my car only has 34000 miles on it. Totally unacceptable. I have never experienced this in any other car that I have owned. Please apply this bulletin to more Camry vins!

I have an issue of when resuming acceleration from a slow down or a complete stop. The car will hesitate/ hiccup and give stutters while accelerating. A sudden spike in RPM is noticed as well.

Today I noticed during my car parked at start up there was a ticking sound towards the front end of the engine. After maybe about a min or two it quieted down a lil but it is still noticeable when your standing in front of car. I can't seem to figure out if there is a problem with the fuel pump or if the transmission is slipping as to my previous comment on acceleration delay from a stop.

I bought a new Toyota Camry 2018 le nearly 2 years ago. I bought a new car for work although since my son gave me his car I started using his and left mine to use for the gym. As now I am using my 2018 Camry now more frequently I have started to notice when I apply acceleration hard from stop there is a delay before car picks up speed. Also when I am in motion and accelerate I believe the Camry is deciding between gears and jerks when it selects the gear it wants.

Transmission: When accelerating hard, such as on an on ramp, my speed only increases slightly while the engine revs to 5000+ rpms. I let off the gas & then it shifts and speeds up. The 8 speed automatic transmission will not shift on hard acceleration until I let off the gas pedal. This is consistent and I believe, a safety hazard. Cruise control: This system has what Toyota calls a safety feature that automatically slows the car if it thinks the vehicle or object ahead is too close. In reality it slows the car dramatically without anything in front of me and a clean windshield. It has a windshield camera to detect such things, so I have to keep it clean. This is a recurring thing. I have notified Toyota. There should be a required fix for such safety problems.

Vehicle was purchased in October 2017, within the first week the became noticeably louder. Initially we thought that the vehicle needed to be warned up. However the vehicle remains in high idle mode for long period of time as though the throttle is sticking. When vehicle is not in use, if restarted within 5-10 minutes the responds the same as before very high idling and sounds as though it has no oil getting to the engine(valvetrain). Car takes several moments to accelerate while the pedal is very stiff and the RPM's does not match the acceleration time. Feels like the brakes stick when you come to a complete stop. Driving on highway car tends to pickup on power itself while within the next few minutes losing power again. When exiting the highway to start city speed limits after taking off from a stop the RPM's increase however car doesn't move at desired speed(drags). Engine sounds like there is metal running through it as well as the sounds it makes while idling. Ticking.shaking, knocking all at once. I have a video of the engine noise and the way it shakes but your attachment only allows for 5mb and the video has more than 5mb. The car was taken to the dealership several times regarding this specific issue however the response was always we couldn't find anything and vehicle either needs a light on or needs to be currently showing the problem right then. They even compared it to other Camry's to make sure they said but the car was still doing the same symptoms while we were there and as we left. The vehicle is sounding far worse than it was from November 2017- to this current day and doesn't seem to be driving any better and it's beginning to feel unsafe. Also when the car is on it does the noise like a clicking sounds ive read about the recalls on this models and im concern due to the same info the car are being called for recalls. When driving the vehicle, the transmission does not appear to know what gear to be in and is always searching. So much so that it will lunge at times when all you are trying to do is accelerate. When slowing down and then slowly applying gas again, nothing happens for a good 10 seconds and then it surges and causes my head to slam into the back of the head rest. Also while idling the vehicle is decently loud, more so when defroster is engaged. At freeway speeds it tends to do better, but most issues appear to be in city day to day driving from the transmission/ or fuel system.

The screen panel glitches from time to time while driving in the highway causing the driver to not be able to see and locate radio stations or manipulate the panel.

My 2018 Toyota Camry has a very rough shifting automatic transmission. I began to notice the issue with the vehicle when I reached about 20,000 miles on the odometer. When ever I put the vehicle into drive, reverse, or park the vehicle makes a thud sounds and shakes a bit. Whenever I am driving the vehicle and I am accelerating the transmission has a large delay before it shifts into the next gear, and it feels like it is shifting into the wrong gear because of the lack or power or too much power at times. It is especially telling when I'm on city streets at low speeds, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen on the highway as well at higher speeds. I have brought this issue to light to the Toyota auto dealership in the past in the past to which they have responded that this is standard with the transmissions of these 2018 Camry's, and that I am not the first to have reported such a thing. I have owned 3 Toyota Camry before this 2018, and never had I had an issue like this on them. And it is very unusual for a vehicle so new and with such low mileage to exhibit such poor performance.

The transmission shift erratically, when cruising at a constant speed the transmission jerks. It feels like it down shift then up shifted, this happens a few of times a week Toyota says this is normal in 4 cylinder, but this is not normal behavior I have 2013 Camry with no such issue. The most annoying, both the driver side and passenger side doors sound hollow and make a loud banging sound when shutting the doors. They sound like metal banging or hollow tin cans. When I searched online I found that the adhesive on the door skin could be bad causing the metal thumping sound. I can make a video and send it to you guys if needed. Thank you.
