Toyota has issued me a safety recall notice indicating that the passenger-side airbag could cause serious injury or death. They have warned me not to have anyone in the front passenger seat, yet they have not provided any details about replacement parts or timeline - other than to say that it will happen sometime in the future. This is not a solution, nor is it helpful.

SRS light came on, manual says take it to the dealer. The dealer told me that the spiral cable needs to be replaced and that the air bag will not work until this repair is completed. This seems to be the same problem for the 1.3 million vehicles of the 2006-2010 recall for the same part.

There is no incident, just a consumer complaint. I have two outstanding safety recalls on this vehicle. 15V043 dated 1/27/15 and 15V285 dated 6/10/14. Neither of these recalls has a remedy yet and that is very disturbing. Especially the one a year old. We can't park the car, need it for transportation so we drive it in an unsafe condition. What if we desire to sell the car? two outstanding recalls certainly affect the price. It is my opinion that Toyota has dropped the ball in getting a remedy for these recalls. It is the responsibility of the NHTSA to hold them accountable and have a remedy in a timely fashion. Thank you for taking my complaint and please forward it to those who can get something done with the recalls and Toyota.

Many months ago I received a recall notice regarding a defective air bag modulator. I've tried many times to schedule this repair and each time I get the same answer: The part is not available and they don't know when they will get it. Their only suggestion is not to use the car. How in the world is this acceptable"????? how can they get away with this"

This form required I enter an incident date. There has been no incident.I entered the incident date of the date of my recall notification.after 6 months and several telephone calls to my dealer, Toyota has still not corrected the issues addressed in their recall notification. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ safety recall NHTSA #15V043. Manuf.recall #D3B recall date Jan. 27 2015. I received the recall letter from Toyota in approx Feb 2015( I am medically disabled) and then called in Feb 2015 my local stadium Toyota to schedule the recall maintenance.always they have been exceedingly courteous and competent when I've used them for oil changes and another recall service.they took my name/tele number and said they will call me back when the specific parts come in......which is generally what the letter does say.("..we will send another notification once preparations are complete") I called back stadium Toyota May 18 2015.they said they"will call me to schedule.... I called back again June 22 2105.they said they"will call me to schedule.... I was called by a gal from stadium Toyota do general maintenance the week of July 23 2015 & told her I was only interested in this particular recall issue.( I service my car elsewhere because, unfortunately, stadium is too expensive for my ssdi budget) she told me she would have the service department call me concerning this issue. July 27,2015, I did try to leave a complaint via the telephone complaint number but hung up after "heavy volume".now I am leaving this complaint on your intranet.I did verify that this particular recall is the only open recall for my vehicle.what a great web site this is !!!
