Last week, as I was driving on a paved road, I heard that maybe I hit a small rock, however, I did not see any rocks on the road. The next day, my ac stopped working. I found a posting on the internet that the A/C condensers on 2005/2006 Corollas are not protected and there was a technical service bulletin issued by Toyota- number AC002-06. Toyota has redesigned the Corolla to correct this problem in 2007 leaving 2005-2006 customers in the dust. I spoke with the Toyota dealer in chantilly on 8/17/12, and he said that the technical bulletin was issued only for Toyota mechanics' use, and that my car was no longer under warranty, even though I only have 35,000 miles on the car. He also wanted to charge me with $130 to diagnose the problem. I went to my personal mechanic instead, and he replaced the A/C condenser, charging me $556 for his service. He also said there was no way to protect this condenser so this does not happen in the future. The vehicle has very few miles, and Toyota is aware of the problem. I request that a recall be issued so this problem is corrected and other customers like me do not have to pay for the temporary repair of the improper design. Thank you.

Air condition - the air condition stopped working. It is very difficult to travel in summer without air conditioner working in the car. Toyota has issued a technical service bulletin indicating that the A/C condenser is not properly protected; the number for this report is AC002-06. It costs $300 to repair the A/C condenser and $300 in labor for a total of $600. Appreciate, if Toyota can recall the vehicle and fix the air conditioner problem.

On August 6, 2008, I was driving down hwy 61 to clarksdale, ms when my accelerator stuck; I tried using the brakes, but it was too late and I hit a large animal and lost control of my car. My car flipped over and turned on it's side and then landed back down. I couldn't believe what happened and I was scraped up and shaken up really bad. This could have been a terrible tragedy, but I survived this crash with only minor scrapes and bruises. I didn't call the police because the car was driveable and the accelerator wasn't sticking anymore. The same week I took the car to a toyoto dealer to check out the accelerator, and they couldn't find anything wrong with it. My car received over $1,300 worth of damages as a result of the crash.

I had my foot on the brake turning into my drive when suddenly the car accelerated and ran into the apartment building wall. I pushed harder on the brake but it would not stop and was still accelerating after running thru the wall. The police report said it slung dirt from the front tires, 24 feet. Updated 11/22/11

We bought a 2006 certified Corolla le on June 19, 2010 from a dealership in northern Virginia. On August 18, 2010 my daughter was driving the car and while at stop light earlier that day her car hesitated and didn't want to move. That evening around 8:30 pm as she was driving her car, the road curved slightly to the right but she was not able to turn the wheel or depress the brakes. She crossed the on coming lane and the car was totaled. She was able to walk away from this with only hundreds of small cuts from glass. The initial thought was that she had hydroplaned but after further talking to my daughter she said that she tried to turn the steering wheel to follow the road but she couldn't because it was too hard and the brakes would not depress either. I had my mechanic go to the yard where the car was stored and read the computer and this is what he found: Check engine light find P0430 evap system pressure sensor high input and in the history he found 2 codes: The same P0430 and B2799 engine immobilizer system fault. So as it seems now the car did shut off and she was not able to control the steering or brakes due to not having power. I have read that this is not the first report of this happening. Something should be done before someone gets hurt really bad or there is a fatal accident. I would like to know if being a certified car, should this have been detected before the car was sold" also, is the computer read before the car is sold to see if there has been or is a problem" if it is not read, then maybe it should be a new policy for the dealerships.

I have a 2006 Toyota Corolla. I was driving down the road 50 mph when my car when my car just stopped without any warning. I had it towed to the dealership in el cajon, ca. They replaced the computer module on my car. My car now shifts odd at different times a hard jerking and then it shifts normally again. Also as soon as my cars computer module was replaced the car alarm beeps at 1:16 am every morning. I am really frustrated because my car is not the same. I took my car into the dealership, they said the alarm was too sensitive, and they adjusted it. I am concerned that these problems are effecting my transmission. I only have 58,000 miles on this car, I do not know what to do about my car. I am concerned that my car will go out again and me and my passengers will be injured. Please help me, I do not feel safe driving my car. : the contact stated that when the air conditioner or heat is in use, the contact gets a nose infection. The contact stated that there is no odor in the air that comes out of the vents, but feels that the infection may be caused by the air being saturated with chemicals. When a doctor was consulted it was determined the contact had rosacea. When a service dealer was consulted, the ventilation was inspected and is unsure of what is causing the infection.
