I received a recall notice over 6 months ago. I contacted the Toyota dealer in my area immediately. I was told that the parts were not available. I have called three times in the six month period and each time I have been told that the parts are not available. They also asked me if I purchased the car from them, which I did not. The dealer is grappone in concord nh. I have not been able to have anyone sit in the passenger seat of my car for the past 6 months. This is pure negligence on the part of either the dealer or Toyota.

Takata recall over a month ago my wife received a letter from Toyota stating that her vehicle was part of recall that involved the passenger side air bag. Upon reading the letter it stated "until the remedy becomes available, we recommend that you do not operate the vehicle while with an occupant in the front passenger seat." That really sounds like a short term fix. So my wife called East coast Toyota that day and explained to the dealer about the recall notice, they told her that a remedy was available and made a service appointment for 4/18/17 @ 12:30pm. When she arrived they said that there wasn't a fix and didn't offer an apology for the huge inconvenience. At the dealer she was told that a fix would be available in June 2017 and that she needed to call the 1800 number on the recall notice.. after hearing about her journey I was upset so I decided to call 1-888-270-9371. The rep julia lisa said that a remedy wouldn't be ready until December 2017. I also asked what Toyota was offering its customers in the mean time because the short tiene fix was now a long term. She stated that we could ask the dealer for a "loaner car." We really need this car to Transport our family around. Please help.

Takata recall. I have a 2009 Corolla and was sent a letter saying that my passenger airbag was defective. I was informed not to drive with anyone in that seat until it is fixed. This is pretty much impossible for me with my family members. I called my closest Toyota dealership and was told I would be given a call back on the status on the part that I would need. Well I have not heard anything in 3 weeks and every time I have called again I get the run around. This is completely unacceptable. I cannot have a car that I can not drive my family in. I expect a resolution to my problem immediately.

That is an unacceptable answer to a possibly deadly problem. This is my 4th Toyota and will probably be my last.
