Takata recall - I received a recall notice for my car over a year ago. The notice indicated that I should not have a passenger in the front seat of my car until the airbag has been replaced. I have called, emailed and written letters to find out when this will be. No one at Toyota seems to know. I have to be driven everywhere if I'm going somewhere with other people. Toyota will not disconnect the passenger airbag so I can use my car. I think over a year is long enough to facilitate this repair.

Takata recall. Since one year after I purchased this vehicle, the airbag light was on. The vehicle is never critically damaged that could cause the airbag to go off. I didn't pay attention to the light until recently, I had my yearly inspection done. They told me it's an issue from the factory and I need to get it replaced. Then I received a letter from auto airbag settlement which leads me to this website.

Takata recall - it is absurd that this recall was issued in May 2016, and it is now 15 months later, and Toyota has not created a remedy, nor even a projected timeframe for when a remedy will become available. I have tried calling Toyota headquarters in the us to complain and seek resolution, and was advised that there was nothing they could do and I would need to call main headquarters in Japan. I have not been able to have anyone sit in my front seat or to set any heavy weight on my front passenger seat this whole time, since I live in Texas, an area with a climate which should have degraded my airbag to a dangerous level by this time.

Takata rcall how come Toyota can't replace air bags but Nissan can. Read this online today. Owners of about 4.4 million Nissan vehicles with potentially defective takata air bags are eligible for financial aid in getting their cars fixed and up to $500 in compensation under the terms of a new consumer settlement. The deal comes after similar agreements between takata air bag vehicle owners and Toyota, BMW, Mazda and Subaru.. among the possible benefits for current and former owners of the Nissan vehicles: 'payments of up to $500 apiece. 'free rental car for use while awaiting repairs. 'reimbursement of reasonable expenses, including transportation, towing and lost wages or childcare costs, accumulated as a result of the recall. I never recieved this notice for my Toyota.

Takata recall, I have recieved two different pieces of mail about th air bags. I drive on the highway about 60 miles round trip for work. I feel as if the air bags being deployed and a possibility of metal coming out is a big deal for me. I live in Florida where it is very humid and constant high temperatures. I think the airbags should be replaced accordingly consider the risk of serious injury.
