Takata recall I am frustrated by the amount of time it is taking to get our passenger airbag replaced! it has been more than an inconvenience to not have passengers in the front seat. I also have not been assured by Toyota that in a crash the rear passengers might not be hit by shrapnel resulting from a defective passenger airbag. Why is Toyota/takata not paying for substitute rental cars while we await the fix?

Takata recall- I do not think it is ethical for Toyota to not have the replacement parts available in a timely manner. I received notice on 3/3/17 but there are no available parts at my local dealer. I have been advised that perhaps there will be in April. It is a burden to not be able to put someone in the passenger seat. In addition, it seems that if activating the passenger side air bag can cause metal fragments to strike the passenger the fragments could also travel and strike the driver and/or other car occupants.

"takata recall" I was not notified by Toyota about this recall until the first week of March, yet when I logged onto your site I see the recall has been known about since January. Also the notice says that there is no current remedy and Toyota advises to not have any passengers in my front seat until they have a remedy. As a family man, I constantly have people in all seats of my vehicle. Toyota failing to offer a rental or other means to assist with protecting their customer's safety not acceptable. I do not see myself ever purchasing another Toyota due to their lack of customer appreciation and Focus.
