Corolla LE

  • Automatic transmission
  • 4,500 miles

I have purchased Toyota Corolla LE 2019 on Oct 2018. I have been using this vehicle for past 22 months.

I have tried to use Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) on my recent travel. I have traveled from Bothell to Burlington on WA state. When I set follow on distance and speed, the car running on the speed I have specified and follows other car (reduce the speed when required).

Usually the RPM of the car is less than 2 (x1000) and it will reach up to 3 (x1000) on uphill when I drove without DRCC. But when I use DRCC it frequently goes from 2(x1000) RPM into 4 (x1000). This is unusual and I never seen this increase in RPM while running the car without DRCC.

Moreover the road I have driven is not uphill or downhill. But not sure why I am seeing this unusual RPM.

When I have complied this into Toyota they said everything working fine and then charged me diagnostic fee for this. Really bad that they couldn't find the issue instead they charged on me.
