2007 Toyota Fj cruiser. Passenger seat belt would not retract backward. The vehicle was taken to the Toyota dealer who advised that because the vehicle was outside of the 6 year/60,000 mile warranty and no recalls, the repair/replacement of the passenger seat belt assembly was at my expense. The driver side seat belt is also showing signs of a weak retract and appears that it will also require replacement soon.

The manufacturer confirmed what the dealer stated and provided no further assistance. The failure mileage was 54,000.
