While driving in city my truck shakes and vibrating horribly when going into 2nd gear. And continues to shake lightly as I continue driving. Dealer says nothing is wrong with the truck could be a tire issue. So got my tires balanced and rotated. Problem still resumes. And still no answer as to what the issue is. I have only 69,276 miles on the truck but it's out of warranty apparently. On highway driving the problem is less noticeable but causes no power to climb hills or pass other motorist.

I bought this truck in June 2018, used with 32000 miles on it. I was driving on a highway in a thunderstorm on 7/25/18, and the kids in the backseat said they were getting wet, and that the water was coming through the headliner. Looked this up online when I got back home and it was a known issue of the rear brake light on the cab leaking through the seal. Brought it to the dealer the next day and they said the replacement seal was on backorder 2-3 months, and there were thousands of trucks all over the us with this problem, which was apparently reengineered in the 2017 model. I made a call to Toyota corporate customer service and a seal miraculously appeared after 3 weeks. After the seal was replaced the dealer said that, upon further inspection they found mold, and it was the worst they had ever seen. They took everything out of the cab and they have to scrape all of the sound deadening material off the floorboard where the mold has concentrated. They will then have to have an outside company come in and treat the vehicle for the mold issue. Then they will have to order replacement parts affected. I was advised this morning it will be another 2-3 weeks before the repairs are complete. Thank god I bought this vehicle with a certified warranty. Otherwise I would have been screwed. With the mold anyone who rode in my car could potentially become sick. I would like to purchase a new model instead to avoid my kids getting sick, but the dealer said it wouldn't qualify on the Arkansas lemon law. Why the hell hasn't this issue been recalled by the manufacturer"?"

The blower motor on my truck fits the issued recall. However its only elidgable for certain vins and mine is not covered. How can I get covered under this recall. The window is June 2016 to 2017. I purchased my truck in March of 2016. The blower motor has been loud since I bought the truck and died a month ago. I saw this recall release and do not know why my truck isn't covered. I believe this recall should be expanded.

The problems described below have been reported to my dealer gullo Toyota in conroe, tx. The dealer is aware that this model truck has been recalled for rear differential failure and misfiring and stalling. While driving East on FM1097 between lake conroe and willis, tx on 2/06/18, I was required to make a quick stop. A loud bump sound came from beneath the truck. Prior to this stop, the engine had been misfiring from-time-to-time. After the quick stop and the bump sound came from beneath the truck, the engine started misfiring at a constant and violent rate for a distance of about 1 mile. My truck has been making an unusual bump sound which occurs shortly after coming to a stop since I bought it in 2016. The truck has also been misfiring for as long as I have owned it. I am afraid that the bump may be due to loose or broken motor or transmission mounts, loose suspension bolts or the gas tank may be shifting. The misfire may indicate that a fuel line is being restricted when the gas tank shifts position. A pinched or deformed gas line may be starving the fuel pump and causing the engine to misfire. Since the bump sound is delayed and occurs after coming to a stop, it suggest to me that the gas tank may be the cause since the gasoline in the tank is in motion after the truck comes to a stop. I need Toyota to take this defective truck in and repair it for this and all the other problems I have previously reported to Toyota. Toyota needs to provide me with a loaner truck while my truck is being repaired. I have left my truck with Toyota 5 times for the misfire and Toyota has not every provided me with a loaner vehicle. I need a loaner truck while my truck is being repaired.

All of the problems listed below have been reported to my local Toyota dealership, gullo Toyota, conroe, Texas. 1) engine misfires (5 attempts at repair. Still misfires.). 2) vehicle stalls due to transmission searching for the correct gear (developed after the last attempt to repair misfire in September 2016). 2) engine has developed a rattle after 20,000 + miles and sometimes sounds like a rod is knocking. Sounds like engine is not being lubricated properly. This may lead to early failure of the smog control system and excessive oil consumption (Toyota claims this is normal for this truck). 3) bump sound comes from beneath truck when stopping and may be loose or broken motor or transmission mount (Toyota stated that the truck is operating as designed). 4) grinding sound comes from rear end when rear wheels slip and automatic limited slip is selected (Toyota has stated that the truck is operating as designed). 5) engine revs unexpectedly when backing out of or driving into garage (Toyota has stated that the truck is operating as designed). 6) loud bang comes from beneath truck when coming to a quick stop. Sounds like the guts of the transmission shift forward (dealership has not arranged to provide a loaner truck so that this problem and all the persistent problems listed above can be repaired. Toyota insist that I bring my truck to the dealership and drive my truck around and demonstrate the existence of these problems to the Toyota's field service tech. Dealership is aware that this truck has been recalled for rear differential problems and engine misfire and stalling. I need the dealership to accept responsibility for this defective truck and take it into their service department and keep it until it is repaired. I need a loaner truck while the repairs are made. I have put much needed work on-hold for a year due to this truck.).

The Toyota Tacoma air conditioner condenser hose is very easily blocked allowing large amount of water to build up behind the dashboard. (the condenser hose's purpose is to discharge condensation from the air conditioner.) this creates a fire hazard, the potential for mechanical or electrical failure and the loss of vehicle control. The underlying problem is a design problem. The problem is very common/ frequent and Toyota has known about this problem for a number of years - but fails to accept it is a problem. I have needed to 'unclog:' The hose twice over the last year. Last week, the large build up of water in behind my dashboard resulted in smoke coming into the cabin of my car. After that incident, I took my relatively new car to the dealership; I was told this repair was not covered by the warranty. Again this is a problem caused by a faulty design

I have been experiencing noise that sounds like it's coming from under my truck bed and reduced propulsion. Roseville Toyota could not find anything wrong when I took it there for my first 3 services. So on 5/22/17 I took my truck to folsom lake Toyota and they told me about the rear diff leak NHTSA recall#17V-285 and inspected and found a leak. They told me I would receive a recall notice in the mail and when I do call them to order the parts. I called them when I got the notice in June and was told I'd be called when the parts are in and its 10/3/17 and they still do not have all the parts in and have not repaired my new 2016 Tacoma in a timely manner.

On July 6, I took my vehicle to West covina Toyota for 25K service and recall. At that time they kept it for recall. I asked them how long it would take and they wouldn't give me date. I was told Toyota would not give them a date, but I could call. Called and Toyota told me 4 to 6 weeks. I told the dealer, that if they provided a loaner, I would prefer a truck similar (or even less) to my vehicle. The service manager said it would probably a frontier. That was July 14. To date no response. On July 19 and July 27, I sent texts to the service employee (william) regarding the status of the loaner and my vehicle. On July 31, I received a call from william saying he didn't know when the vehicle would be ready. He never mentioned the status of the loaner. My complaint is that penske Toyota, could at least have given me a timeframe for the parts rather than putting it off on me and Toyota customer care, they also could at minimum said there is no truck available so I could plan around repair. They have chosen to be no responsive and are placing the blame on Toyota. These types of things happen and all I have asked for are the best update they have at the time. Also, the recall notice offered the loaner for extended repairs, they have chosen to ignore my request.

Rear differential recall. Took it in a month and a half ago. Was told it was leaking really bad. They temporarily "fixed" it and was told it would take a week for parts to arrive. Month and a half later and nothing. I keep calling the dealership and Toyota hq since they can't even notify me of what's going on. So I've been running on a really bad leak for a month and a half.

Toyota servco mapunpuna said they will be keeping my truck for up to, if not more, then 2 months. This is totally unacceptable because I need my truck and I do not appreciate it being in the salt water elements, without covering for up to 2 months or more. I will feel much better if you/company provided a truck cover to go over my truck because I paid extra money, through Toyota, to have a special coating on the truck to protect it from the elements. I wash the truck every 1 1/2 to 2 weeks so that elements do not ruin the coating on my truck. So up to 2 months or more to fix a slight leak is ridiculous beyond belief.

Takata recall I brought my car to the dealer because it is recalled. They say it would take about 10 days to 3 weeks, or even up to more than 2 months because they do not have the parts available for now. In the mean time, I have no car to drive to work. It is recall because of the company's fault, then why do I have no loaner car?

2016 Toyota Tacoma recalled for leaky rear differential. I bought it brand new 11 months ago and it has been in the shop a month and a half of that. I still have to make payments while my truck sits at the dealership. I called southeast Toyota and they lied to me telling me if I had financed through Toyota financial that I wouldn't have to make payments right now. I am still paying for the truck that's been sitting at the dealer for 6 weeks. Toyota says they have no idea when they will fix my truck. I also have taken it in for a noise coming from the passenger side dash that was never fixed. I took my truck in for the 15000 mile tire rotation and was informed it had a leaky rear differential and have never seen my truck that I am still paying for again,

Rear differential recall- on May 9th I dropped my truck off at stevens creek Toyota to have the two error messages reviewed for cause. The advisor, robin let me know there was a recall on the rear differential from April and that they would inspect my vehicle for leaks. The first report was that there were no leaks. The following morning when I went to the dealership to retrieve my truck I was told the trucks rear diff was leaking terribly and was unsafe to drive. I was told the fix would be complete in one to two weeks and was given a corolla as a comparable loaner vehicle. After two weeks of false updates from various techs I emailed the service manager and requested an immediate update along with a truly comparable loaner "truck". I received an update of "per Toyota there is no fix and no time line as to when a fix will happen". I was given a Dodge Ram rental from enterprise as an upgraded loaner vehicle. I have called the number provided on the web-site 800.331.4331 and they have confirmed that there is still no repair and they have no idea when one will be forthcoming. I am making payments and providing insurance on a brand new vehicle I have barely even driven and now resides on the dealer lot. The loaner vehicle is comparable in size but not when it comes to all the added options and safety features I paid for. I have kept a very detailed record of all conversations & emails. I just want to drive the truck I am paying for but I would be willing to discuss purchasing a different truck that has passed the recall inspection. I keep seeing that this will be handled in a timely manner but what does that even mean? it's been nearly 3 weeks without my truck due to Toyota's negligence.
