Takata recall a couple months ago I had recall 15V483000 completed on my 2012 Passat. I was experiencing electrical issues such as cruise control not working, wipers turning on for no reason. It seemed to be connected to the steering column since both of these features are connected to the steering column. After the recall was completed no further issues until today. I made a U-turn and my airbag light came on and hasn't went off sense. I'm concerned after reading about shrapnel and airbag deployment.

Takata recall- my husband and I took our VW Passat that has an emissions recall and takata recall and they said that the manufacture doesn't think that this is a big deal. The manufacture refuses to provide a loaner for our vehicle. They said that it is perfectly safe to drive. How can some manufactures put other customers in loaners because of the same recall and tell them not to drive and others say its not a big deal. I do not trust Volkswagen since we were also affected by their emissions recall. Can you please clarify and what the next step should be. We did have an appointment to get all recalls on this vehicle addressed and to get parts ordered. At this point recall notices are like monthly statements.

Takata recall I am filing a complaint based off of a recall notice that I received from Volkswagen. The recall # is 69M9. The letter states that metal fragments could pass through the airbag cushion material which may result in injury or death to vehicle occupants. However, at this time they are not repairing the recalled vehicles until enough repair parts are produced. Volkswagen refuses to provide me in writing that my car is "safe" to drive.

Takata air bags I just want to know how in the crap the VW people can get away with recalling these cars for faulty equipment that can cause "serious injury or death to occupants" and be so [xxx]irresponsible with the lives of others. There is not time table for repairs so we don't know how long we will be subjected to "serious injury or death". someone in our government should step up and defend us from these money hungry jerks. Why issue the recall if they are not able to make repairs. I talked with a VW "customer care" representative and he told me my vehicle was perfectly safe to drive yet I have been "warned" a malfunction could lead to "serious injury or death". what are those of us who need our cars to survive to do? VW offers no loaner car or rental assistance. I think this is crap and if I die because of some defective foreign part I hope someone in charge takes notice so others will not. Takata recall 16V078. The local dealership sold me the car on 2/9/16 and the recall was announced the very same day. There is no "remedy yet available." As of 5/4/16 I have received no recall notice from VW or contact from the dealership. VW dealerships are still selling dangerous recalled vehicles.

Takata recall: I was on hold with VW customer service this morning for one hour and twenty minutes for them to tell me there is currently no fix for the recalled air bag that is in my car and that VW does not have a loaner car program for its customers to use until it fixes the problems with he airbags. They also informed me that the NHTSA states that my car is safe to drive until the airbags can be fixed. Yet all over the news it states that the cars with the takaka recall are not safe to be driving until the airbags are fixed.

Takata recall- since I purchased my vehicle I have not had a time where there isn't a recall of some sort. I have been attempting to trade in my vehicle for months and everyone is offering nearly nothing. Come to find out ithe is due to the takata recall that has rendered my car in a "stop sale", a buying and selling freeze. No one will buy them because they can't sell them due to this issue. I am stuck with an ever recalled vehicle that is a potential death trap and I have no way out of it. Takata is not doing anything to remedy this situation and is creating a possible death trap for people driving them and a huge financial burden because we can't purchase a safer vehicle.

Takata recall - I have tried multiple times to contact VW regarding the airbag recall and am getting zero answers or resolution. I called customer care and asked for a time-frame for the fix and received none. I asked for a loaner and was told to request one from the local dealership. A week after leaving a message with the service manager at the dealership, I received a call that they don't have loaner cars that don't have airbags in them that are not impacted, so it made no difference. I waited a month and checked VW's website and there is zero information as to when they will receive parts or when this will be fixed. I opened a chat with VW customer care on 4/15 and received a copy and paste response to my concerns, which stated nothing of substance. I was also again denied a loaner car which was safe in the interim. I feel that VW and takata are not taking the matter seriously or moving in a fast enough manner. I understand the scope of this, but there needs to be urgency in that people are dying and other are driving unsafe cars. VW should have loaner cars available along with a timeline of thefix in place at this point as the recall was announced last year. I am very upset with their handling. Any pressure that could be put on them to extend loaner cars or move faster would be appreciated. I also live in a high heat state (nc), which compounds the seriousness. Thank you.

I was in a car accident. I was not at fault, but I was T-boned with almost over $11,000 in damage. The case was settled but the vehicle is still not in good shape. The air bags did not go off in the accident and I just received a recall for a steering wheel electronic clock issue that could prevent the air bags from going off. I accrued over $7,000 in medical bills, and I owe over $15,000 on the vehicle. I am not sure what to do because I feel I am driving a vehicle that isn't safe
