Brussels is a bilingual city. Most people speak French, the others speak Flemish.
The RNS315 as supplied by VW only displays the Flemish names (that very few people use) on the maps for the streets. This makes the visual map display almost useless. (You can search the French names.)
The distributor pretends it is the fault of the map supplier NAVTEQ, However, NAVTEQ have both French and Flemish maps available for Brussels.
It is amazing that VW have poorly specified their software and refuse to fix their error. Indeed, friends both French and Flemish speaking consider this unacceptable. Some expats and French speakers tell me that they did not by a VW because of this reason. I wish I had known before falling into their trap.
