— A 2025 Cadillac LYRIQ recall says the owner's manual contains incorrect information about the rear outboard head restraints.

"The head restraint description for the China market LYRIQ, which has a unique design, was inadvertently used in manuals for the U.S. and other markets." — General Motors

According to GM, occupants may not understand how to properly adjust the rear headrests.

GM Australia discovered the owner's manual problem which caused the automaker to open an investigation in January, but there have been no reports of injuries.

A 2025 Cadillac LYRIQ owner won't need to visit a dealer because GM will mail an insert to add to the owner's manual. The insert contains correct directions about the rear headrests.

GM expects to mail Cadillac recall letters May 12, 2025. Vehicle owners may call 800-458-8006.

GM's number for this recall is N252492340.
