- 2017 Ford Escape: transmission shifting problem (6 complaints) FORD=FIX OR REPAIR DAILY. Drove the car 63,000-miles and barely got off the freeway. At around 65mph, the trans began downshifting, going into neutral, and upshifting. Had to keep the RPM Around 2500 at traffic lights or it would slip into neutral. Waited a day or so then drove the car locally and it operated normally when cold but haven’t taken it on the freeway yet. One does not want to break down on the freeway in CA. Waiting for an estimate now. Ballpark for a trans is $5000-$7000. All I did is drive this ... read more »
- 2017 Ford Edge: coolant leak into cylinder (38 complaints) I just received a call from our local Ford dealer's service department confirming coolant intrusion into cylinder #1 on my wife's 2017 Ford Edge Titanium with the 2.0 EcoBoost engine. The dealer is filing a case with Ford. I'm not getting my hopes up b/c from what I understand, Ford is doing nothing to help the owners with the costs. I heard a TSB was issued, but no recall to replace the engine. Unfortunately, this could end up being a very costly repair. My wife and I have really enjoyed the car and hate that ... read more »

- 2005 Honda Accord: engine runs rough - check engine light comes on (4 complaints) The car runs fine however the engine just seems to have endless problems. I’ve replaced the valve seals, head gaskets, spark plugs and so on and the problem has only gotten worse. The engine won’t stop backfiring and it’s smoking a lot more than it used to (not to mention the oil disappearing after a few 5 minute startups and gas has been used up a bit more than it should be. As a first car I thought that a Honda would be a great choice. The universe has obviously attempted to contradict itself. Next time I ... read more »

After paying $175 for the full monty and flush etc. The message flashed yet again. They did a code reach of P0404. According to Google "What Does the P0404 Code Mean? I first got confused thinking maybe there's some sort of tape or material that was glued over but no it's literally part of the panel and only the bottom part faded into a yellowish color.
