  • 166,000 miles
The contact owns a 2001 Acura MDX. The vehicle was parked in the residence garage and a strong odor of fuel was present. He also observed a fuel leak near the fuel tank. There were no prior warnings. An independent mechanic on two occasions stated that the failure was contributed to the fuel tank filler hose and that the fuel tank needed to be replaced. The vehicle has not been repaired. The contact stated that the failure could cause a fire. The failure and current mileages were 166,000.
