TL 6-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 63,000 miles
I had the transmission replaced in my 2000 Acura TL under the NHTSA required extended warranty. I had 63,000 miles on the car at the time. When the dealer replaced the transmission they advised me that the front motor mount was broken and asked if I wanted it fixed. I told them to replace the motor mount, at a cost of $163.43. I have owned over 17 vehicles in my lifetime and never had a broken motor mount. My wife and I are retired and do not in any way drive the car any any sort of rough manner. The car has never been any any accidents either. I question why a vehicle with only 63,000 miles on it should come up with a broken engine mount. Is this another Acura defect?
