TL Tech 3.2L V6

Bluetooth module died. It will drain the battery if you don't remove it from the ceiling. No more handsfreelink. A new module from Acura is around 400 bucks.

On our Acura TL with navigation 08, the battery has to be replaced every time we go a few days without driving it. This started happening the SAME time our Bluetooth quit working - which is a safety hazard. I agree with another person who reported this on here that Acura should recall their vehicles and FIX this problem! I don't want to pour money into the car to fix this problem so I won't buy another Acura in the future if Acura chooses to ignore this problem that's been reported by so many Acura owners.

So, this is a very common problem with this vehicle, the Bluetooth all of a sudden stops working and when you try to turn it on the display will say HANDSFREE BOOTING and will not connect. Not only that, if you do not get it unplugged it will drain your battery!

So two solutions to this problem, 1) Get it fixed, which will cost over $600, or 2), unplug the Bluetooth module, which is in the overhead behind your reading lights. I did the latter as my battery drained on me and I had to get it jump-started. I took it to get the battery checked and they said it was fine, said if it happens again they would have to do a diagnostic check to see what in the car is draining the battery. I then did some online research and voila, it was the HFL module that stops working and has to be unplugged or else the battery will run out on you!
