Brake light comes on when there is no car anywhere near you. How come BMW can make these avoidance systems work and not Honda??????????????

The electronic brake signal doesn't work. It lights up sometimes when the other car is behind the vehicle or on the side, but when the car is coming close to another vehicle on the front, it doesn't light up. Not sure if ever a fix.
Others complained the same issue as well.
