Rear brakes on my 2010 Acura TSX were gone after only 22,000 miles. This is outrageous. And to make it worse, my 2010 Acura TSX is not covered by a class action lawsuit settlement for faulty brake wear on 2008, 2009 and some 2010 models. Mine was not one of the "some." Does anyone know if a new lawsuit has been filed?

At my last service they mentioned my rear brakes were about done. The wear tabs started squeaking really badly, so I brought it in. The inspection showed 1mm on rear and 9mm on front. I've talked to a few other TSX owners who have also reported needing to replace their rear brakes. My vehicle has 40,907 miles on it. Honestly Acura should be using better brake pads or something. A car that's just barley over a year old shouldn't need new brakes already. I drive my car rough, but it should have lasted longer. My front's still have lots of life left and there is no shutter or any problem with those. Rear brake job was $180, which isn't too bad luckily. Apparently there is a class action against Acura for the rear brakes on some Honda Accords/TSX's, but my VIN was not listed with the class action. They would have refunded up to $150 of this repair if it was.

Just took in my 2010 Acura for it's second A-1 manitenance (oil change and tire rotation) to the Escondido Acura dealer. The service guy came in to tell me that my rear brakes needed to be replaced - they are at 3mm in the back and 7mm in the front. I only have 20,023 miles and drive "granny" style since all my driving is carting the kids from home to school. I googled my car and came up with the class action lawsuit/settlement. My car VIN is not listed. SInce Honda/Acura did not did not admit guilt in this settlement, does this mean they did not fix the problem? Did they continue to sell the Honda Accord and Acura TSX with bad Rear Brake Pads and the defect in the Rear Braking System?
