The 3rd problem = the second incident/accident on the same day as the 1st and on the day following a repair for a "check engine" light.
I met up with my social media account manager for lunch, we took the car out for a drive as he wanted to see it in action. It drove fine, but AGAIN, upon pulling into a parking space at a low rate of speed, the brakes engaged and the car went into sudden acceleration. This time, the car drove over arborvitae and into a neighboring parking lot. The dealership again was called, they came and towed the car, although it did not look like it had significant damage, I was not about to drive the vehicle again.
I have not had the car back since this time. It is now 10 weeks later and the collision center is waiting for parts. The insurance company has paid out over $12,000.00!! Alpha Romeo says it is not their problem and there is no problem with the car, that it is driver error!!
Ladies and gentleman, PLEASE TELL ME HOW ALL OF A SUDDEN I DID NOT KNOW HOW TO DRIVE A CAR THAT I HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH for 1 MONTH OF DRIVING IT, AND THEN SUDDENLY A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON, SERVICE IS PERFORMED AND I HAVE 2 INCIDENTS OF SUDDEN ACCELERATION THE VERY NEXT DAY????
I am told this is difficult to prove. Lawyers have told me it does not fit the "lemon law" specifications in PA because it was not "repaired 3 times for the same issue"!!
I now have a car I spent a lot of money on MY DEDUCTIBLES, ON CAR PAYMENTS (I HAVE ONLY HAD THE CAR IN MY POSSESSION 1 OUT OF 3.2 MONTHS!) AND I FEAR FOR MINE AND MY FAMILIES SAFETY AND FOR ANYONE ELSE WHO MIGHT BE ON THE ROAD WHEN I GO TO BRAKE AT A LIGHT AND THE CAR DECIDES TO ACCELERATE.
PLEASE HELP!! IF THERE IS ANYONE OUT THERE WHO THINKS THEY CAN HELP ME PROVE MY CASE-ALL I WANT IS MY MONEY BACK AND ALPHA ROMEO CAN KEEP THE CAR!
