ALL CAR SYSTEMS WENT DOWN LEAVING THE VEHICLE IN A LIMP MODE UNABLE TO DRIVE. KNOWN AUDI ISSUE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON RECALL. CAN STRAND YOU ANYWHERE WITH MINIMAL WARNING, VERY DANGEROUS. I BELIEVE A CLASS ACTION SUIT HAS BEEN RAISED CONCERNING THIS ISSUE. AUDI NEEDS TO MAKE COMPONENTS THAT SUPPORT ALL THEIR ELECTRICAL FEATURES. ANOTHER REASON I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER AUDI. AN EXPENSIVE VEHICLE THAT IS UNRELIABLE.

Problem began with an "Electrical Problem" warning with yellow battery symbol and also a warning message that the Stop/Start function was disabled. Searched the internet and found these error warnings typically suggested a low battery voltage condition, so I charged the battery overnight. Next day, drove the car and the same error messages still there. While continuing to drive, the yellow battery symbol turned to flashing red with warning to stop the car. As I pulled over on the shoulder, the car died, all displays went blank, and car would not restart. Had the car towed to a local auto shop that specialized in Audi repair. The shop called the next day and said they couldn't get the car started and that I would have to take it to an Audi dealership. Cost $550 for the two tows.

Once I described the failure conditions, the dealer rep recognized it as a known alternator failure and that Audi had extended the warranty on the alternator and would replace it free. The car is in the shop now and don't know when I'll get it back. This is second time within 2 months that the car has completely died, stranded me on the roadside, and cost me a second $500 towing fee. While I really like this car for its luxury features, I am now apprehensive to drive it for fear of another major breakdown. Traditionally, older cars with an amp gauge would have indicated an electrical problem long before it became critical. Now days, the electronics can disable a car leaving the driver clueless as to the cause of the failure.

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service and treatment I have received from this company. Despite being a loyal customer for 10 years, I have been continuously let down by your lack of action and accountability.

I was recently in need of an alternator replacement and was promised a loaner car while the repairs were being made. However, upon arrival at the dealership, I was informed that no loaner cars were available and that there was no date for when the alternator would be in inventory. To make matters worse, I am still being charged for my lease despite the fact that my car is inoperable.

I have been continuously promised that this matter would be escalated, but to no avail. The treatment I have received from this company is completely unacceptable and unconscionable. I am extremely disappointed in how this situation has been handled and demand immediate action to rectify the situation.
