The contact owns a 2010 BMW 128I. The contact stated that as she was entering the vehicle, she noticed film covering the windshield. The vehicle was taken to the dealer four times. The dealer confirmed that the failure was due to the car interior releasing air. The manufacturer was contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 4,000 and the current mileage was 25,000. Updated 07/06/12 the consumer also stated the film was very thick and hard to wipe off. The dealer informed the consumer, the problem was with the air condition, and the coil. The consumer stated each time she picked the vehicle up, she thought the problem was fixed, only for it to return again. BMW informed the consumer there was nothing they could do, as the problem was a bi-product of the interior breathing.
