I went in to have a routine oil change and was told to have a brake flush by the dealership. After leaving dealership I started experiencing problems with steering and brakes. They informed me to bring car back in to rectify the issue. As I was driving on the highway the brake system on the vehicle completely failed and the car has now become inoperable. They are refusing to fix it stating that the issue has nothing to do with the oil change and brake flush but would most likely be a persistent valve issues with this car. The car has two recalls in the past week and yet the dealership refuses to do anything about it. This car is unsafe to drive as I almost got into an accident on md 495 heading toward silver spring. I have tried to work directly with BMW of silver spring and BMW of North America and they are refusing to address the issue.

Left work at 4:30pm on 01/06/2016, as we turned out of parking lot my 2007 BMW 328I just died in mid traffic. This occurence happened twice before but stalled multiple time on way back home. On the 6th of Jan, the car began to overheat and burning of battery smell. Car was towed as id codes were checked and all signs have pointed to system failure. Upon further review, 6 open recalls was researched using multiple VIN report sites paid and free including bmwusa.com/safety recall. We were then told to contact the BMW consumer and we were told that if there is no warranty due to past milage, recalls were not obligated by BMW consumer. I have already contacted fabbrini law office here in Chicago regarding our federal rights in being in a safe car. How many links do we need to post in which stalling and electrical problems have been noted on bmws own company website. We simply ask that BMW consumer llc listen to this complaint like the many others who are being put in unsafe vehicles and we ask that you apply your three prong rule regarding safety hazards such as these that warrant a refund with deappreciation added, replacement of vehicle or simply repair the recalls that have been noted in the last decade affecting more than millions who are loyal to your product. We intially had a 2005 BMW 325I that had recalls and we were not helped then and traded vehicles for yet another BMW with the hopes of better luck.

I was parked, placed my car in reverse and immediately all of my dashboard lights were activated (4X4 malfunction, ABS brake failure, transmission malfunction) then my car lost power. There is a known issue with the set positioning motor failing on these vehicles. The BMW dealer part # is 27 10 7 546 671. There is an internal gear, with in the set positioning motor, made out of plastic that wears prematurely. This is a known issue with BMW's and it should be recalled. My vehicle become disabled with out warning, leaving me stranded which may have caused an accident.

Brakes go out a lot front and rear on both my bmws, and passengers rear door locks stop working on both my BMW's 2006 325, and 328I 2007. Windows on both right rear doors work when they want to. I've been telling the BMW dealer about these things and all they say is what it will cost me to fix. I even told them about the electrical problems on both my cars and they had me pay for it, then later I find out it is a recall. But didn't get money back for me paying to get it fixed. Same thing about the brakes, both my bmws been in the shop more then 30 times or more apiece. Can someone help.

Car continues to have intermittent ABS brake failure after more than a year. BMW won't repair unless I pay for it. I have already had 1 electrical related safety recall due to battery cable. Several people on the BMW forum have had this issue as well, here is just 1 example: www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?T=558662 see below tsb #sib270212 for the ABS brake failure: ___________________________ vehicle: 2007 BMW 3 series ________________________________________ nature of defect: Power train:automatic transmission bulletin number: Sib270212 bulletin date: Dec 2012 ________________________________________ summary: BMW: Dsc warning light is on. The warning lamps for dsc, ABS and brake warning illuminated. There may also be a warning in the control display for chassis control system failure. ( NHTSA item number - 10051459 ),

My 2007 328xi transfer case on the drive train failed at approximately 65 mph on Sunday 6/16/2013. This caused an immediately loss of all wheel drive and ABS in the rear of the vehicle. With some simple research online it is evident that this is a common problem amongst similar models and year groups. The X3 and X5 are notorious for the issue. A whole aftermarket industry and developed on replacing the gears with newer, high heat and stress gears so this issue doesn't happen and there are retailers who market to people with these vehicles to replace them. The fact that a secondary market has appeared and it has not been acknowledged as a serious issue is confusing. The interior of the transfer case shows the gears are made from plastic which degrade overtime and eventually cause all wheel drive to fail to engage or to disengage and causing severe brake and handling issues. I was fortunate enough to maintain control but others may not be.
