328 XI 3.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 114,000 miles

At about 114,000 miles, oil was found underneath the vehicle and the smell of oil inside the car during driving/idle. Valve cover gasket was cracked and leaking onto exhaust manifold and a down alongside the engine. Oil filter housing gasket failed leaking oil onto front of engine and coolant hose. This is bad because this can contaminate sensors and the electrical water pump. Did the repairs myself. Cost of repairs was cost of gaskets.
