After a month, same problem happened again. Same light came on again, hard shift. It's at the same repair shop. Waiting to hear. They are saying that they will try to 'reprogram' the software but the connection with BMW USA keeps getting interrupted! Hmmmmmm! Dropped it off on Monday and it's now Thursday nite. They have our money and they have our car, which I'm very fond of, by the way. Have treated it like a baby.
So....have spent about 5 grand and so far it seems like we're being fed a line of crap. Supposed to hear something in the morning! May be sharing the name of the shop then. Will wait one more day to see how they will handle this. Also, have heard that some BMW transmissions were made by GM?? Will look into that! So far......very disappointed in my 330i.
