jerks suddenly to the left

My car, I purchased from my aunt in 2009 because she wanted a Jaguar. It was a beauty and has features that some cars today don't have. It's zippy and fun to drive and slide around corners. I got it with 160,000 and now, still going strong at 214,000miles. However, the car, usually when approaching 35 mph (braking or accelerating) jerks violently to the left. The alignment is off, but that didn't bother me. The car computer always said "brake linings" It turns out that there is a defect in these cars that, the brakes get worn from the strut compression angle. I replaced the struts and it works beautifully. Hopefully going to go another 200,000 miles.
