I was driving about 35 miles an hour on a bumpy road(North rt 18, NJ), then suddenly a front passenger door popped open during driving. When I mean by popped open, it goes from door fully closed & locked to partially open, as if the door wasn't completely shut. When it happened, the "door open" signal came up immediately and the interior lights came up. I told a local BMW dealership, was told the door actuator is bad, and I should pay for the cost of $500, which seemed unfair when it looks like a system malfunction. I had not had a problem until now.
