I am in no way in the best of spirits with the company I thought was the greatest in the world! Now you are like Kia and Kia has taken the place of BMW with having reliable vehicles and team members who take care of their cars and customers!

I purchased a 2014 535i x Turbo and had 60k when purchased, supposed to be with warranty. I now have 70k on vehicle and all of a sudden the engine seized, I am being told. I call on warranty only to find BMW covered everything except engine and I am LIVID! I am going to contact a lawyer and file a lengthy lawsuit, but I thought I would try to search through BMW to see if anyone in any company can assist in repairing my vehicle? I paid 20,000 for my car had it almost a year and now it just sits, not working - and they want 15,000 to fix! Ridiculous!

engine seized with no warning

If I could give negative stars, I would! I am EXTREMELY #disappointed with the lack of customer service and product support at this dealership AND #BMW in general. My husband is (was) an advent BMW enthusiast. We have owned 4 BMWs, and they have always been his favorite vehicles to drive. Unfortunately, that has ALL changed now. We will NEVER purchase another BMW!!

Very long story short: We purchased a CPO vehicle from United BMW. In under 5 years, the engine totally locked up with under 80K on the odometer - on the middle of GA 400!

We have all maintenance records - including oil change records that we submitted for review, but apparently because we chose NOT to spend triple on oil changes from the dealership, those records are in essence disregarded.

United BMW has not been able to give us a reason why this happened, but they HAVE been able to provide us with an estimate of $26,293.22 to replace the engine with a refurbished engine. (Yes, that is twenty six thousand.)

We have never had any major trouble from the vehicle, and ALL maintenance was done. In short, we took VERY good care of this vehicle, and out of the blue, the engine just locks up?? This is clearly a manufacturing #defect, but BMW chose not to stand behind their product, and instead offered us an insulting amount for the car - IF we buy ANOTHER CPO vehicle from them! WHY in the world would we want to give our money to them again?!? I mean, really???

I will be telling this story to ANYONE who will listen in the hopes that I can save at least one person from being in a similar situation.

There is a reason why the cost of ownership is so high on these vehicles: When there is a manufacturer mechanical failure, BMW washes their hands of the vehicle and leaves the customer holding the bag - with no support, no assistance, and NO SERVICE.

And by the way - DO NOT bother replying with the same cut & paste response that you use for ALL OF THE OTHER ONE STAR REVIEWS. Just don't bother.
