There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the rack and pinion needed to be replaced. The vehicle was also taken to a local dealer which diagnosed the failure to be strut bearing fault. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure.
