We purchased the vehicle used late summer 2013. Upon having the vehicle inspected we discovered that both rear coil springs were broken. We were told by multiple resources that this is a common problem with BMW. We replaced the springs. I want to know why this is not a recall. Other brand/models with cracked/broken rear coil springs have had recalls. This is a safety issue. High speed cornering could cause springs to separate from vehicle.
