Enclave CLX 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 103,892 miles

Fixed front 2 wheel bearings, now needs rear ones. Vehicle runs rough. Last week stalled as getting on the highway with my 3 six and under kids, plus I am 6 months pregnant. If this happened when on the highway could be serious injuries or death. The damn thing still doesn't start but one time and sounded as if it was going to blow, so turned it right back off. Towed to garage, they state crank shaft and has burnt oil the thing. Does crank shaft have anything to do with the timing chain or control module? Why isn't GM doing anything about these problems especially when most of these complaints are the same, or having similar problems? Maybe it's time owners get together and call consumers affair, BBB and the attorney general in your state.

Enclave CXL 3.6L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 39,648 miles

The engine light came on while entering a highway. It lost power, only could go 35 mph at maximum. I had just left home so I returned home at once. I called a nearby Buick dealer and they sent a tow truck to deliver it to them. They found a constant misfire on cylinder #4. Also said it had carbon build up on throttle plate and valves.

They replaced the ignition coil for #4 cylinder.. This cost $587.62. (I was charged $117.00 for the tow) My mileage was 39,648. This happened on 1/05/17. The very next week (at a different Buick dealership) I had them clean the engine..with "Terra Clean". Then on 2/08/18...it happened again. Once more entering the same highway near home. I returned home and called OnStar this time for a car carry to deliver to same Buick dealership (no tow charge).

This time they found misfire on #1 cylinder. They replaced the ignition coil on #1 cylinder. No mention of throttle plate and valves having carbon build up this time. My mileage was 43,214. This bill was $377.92. Then yesterday 2/23/18, just 15 days later "de-ja vu"..it has happened again. I'll have to go through it all over again.

With all the complaints about this problem, it should have a recall or repair should at least be free up to 100,000 miles. I would have never thought these kind of problems happen to an automobile with low mileage below 45,000 miles. My tires last as long as this engine.

As a GM retiree, I am embarrassed that anyone should have to go through repeated repairs like this over and over again because of poor engineering, GM needs to step up and make this right. Hopefully, the 2009 Enclave is the only year this is happening to. Surely it has been corrected in the later years.

Enclave CXL 3.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 89,792 miles

Originally purchased the car with the hesitation. Dealer claimed to have fixed problem under warranty. Took car back in for check engine light dealer stated on one coil and one spark plug replaced under warranty again. One week later same issue occurred and took to another place where they replaced all boots and spark plugs. Day after repairing the vehicle again same code is coming thru. Advised now it could be injectors causing the spark plugs to continue to foul out.

Codes from vehicle are A) PO300B-- Random Multiple Missfire B) PO306 Cylinder 6 Missfire C) P2098 Post Catalyst Trim too Lean Bank 2

Pending: PO301B Cylinder 1 Missfire.

I have done my due diligence with the vehicle. Upset that I have to continue to go back to the dealer for the same issue repeatedly. Over the last year I have been to the dealer regarding this same misfire for the past 2 years. Something had to be wrong other than telling me to replace the spark plugs and the boots. Please contact me regarding the issue at hand. As a single parent of 3 this is getting costly and the dealer is not willing to even listen any longer. contact me at stacywoods39@gmail.com

Enclave CXL V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 160,000 miles

We have had so many problems with this car since the day we purchased it. This was the worst purchase we ever made!!! We have received one recall after another. We already replaced the transmission and several other things and now we might have to replace the engine. The check engine light came on and the car was running rough. The codes indicated that we had misfires so we replaced the coil packs as indicated. The car ran fine for a while and then the same problems appeared. We had the codes read again and there were misfires in two other coil packs. We went ahead and replaced the remaining coil packs, the spark plugs and now the car will not even run. We replaced the throttle body thinking that would fix the issue and it is still showing misfires on cylinders three cylinders which have been replaced (2,4, and 6). Buick cheated us with this car. The right thing to do would be to issue a recall and fix this problem. My research has revealed that many others have had this same exact problem. We can't afford to spend another $4000+ to replace the engine.
