LeSabre Limited

  • Automatic transmission
  • 244,000 miles

Driving down the road, it doesn't matter what speed, and my engine will just stop. I know there is electrical because my lights and radio are on. However my engine, power steering and power brakes are just suddenly gone. There is no warning when this happens. This will cause an accident! I have had a coil replaced, plugs and wires and looking to have an engine diagnostic done. But, from what I have read, others have had it done to no avail. HAS ANYONE FIGURED THIS OUT?! I am a single mom, a full time student and working...I've already poured about 700 in repairs into this car this week, which is more then it is worth but it is all I have. HELP

LeSabre 3.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 129,500 miles

After the car is running for 15 min. it stalls when I am either turning or stopping. Recently when driving on the interstate it started acting like it was starving for fuel and just shut off when I was driving 70mph. I thought it was the fuel pump because it seams to act up more when my gas level is at the half way point. Had the fuel pump tested and they said that is not my problem. I am afraid that one of these times I am going to be hit from behind . My check engine light never comes on. Please someone help !!! My Mechanics can not figure out.

I have checked everything I can think of on this car and no dice on repair. I checked the obvious; plugs, wires, sensors, fuel system... everything, and nada. It acts like it i running rich but all that controls that is functioning as it should. The check engine light is not on. I am really stumped. If any one has an idea of what I can check, PLEASE E-MAIL ME. I will not take this to a dealer to repair. I may be a shade tree mechanic, but everything I fix works and costs a tenth of paying someone else.
