LeSabre Limited V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 73,000 miles

It's always nice to have cruise control on a long drive on the freeways. It's less stressful on the driver. Then I don't have to watch my speed because if the dang cruise control worked, it would keep at a constant set speed. It worked when I bought the car in Sep 2007.

LeSabre ES

  • Automatic transmission
  • 107,617 miles

This was actually the second time the cruise control switch had failed. The first time happened the day we drove the car off the lot (used) in 2002. We took it back immediately and were stunned to discover they had to replace the entire steering wheel to replace the switch. The car only had 33,000-miles on it then, so it gave me a bad feeling. This time wasn't under warranty, but they'd made the switch available separately and the switch itself cost only $16. The cost of service was about $90. Can't imagine what the price of the entire wheel would have been, but we probably would not have cruise control anymore if it had to be replaced this time.
