7/17/2000: Stalled 2X in traffic w/315 miles on it; replaced wire harness & fuses; 4/9/02:leak-replaced upper manifold @ 23,184 miles 5/3/02: Noisy, uneven-defective tires-replaced @ 24,161 miles; 8/20/03: Recall - heating & cooling @ 39,226 miles; 10/28/03: Rattling-catal.conv.assembly @42,892 miles; 7/8/05: Motor not running properly - replaced wires, coils, etc.@ 55,385 miles 10/28/03: Rattling-replaced catalytic converter assembly; 10/13/04-ecall.

The vehicle is experiencing problems with the power windows on the front driver's side and the front passenger's side intermittently shorting out. Consumer is unable to wind the side windows up or down when needed. Also consumer smelled electrical wiring burning when using the window switches. Dealer was notified, and informed consumer that the vehicle was not covered under a recall.

When starting the vehicle consumer heard a loud backfire coming from the front of the vehicle. Then, consumer noticed white smoke. Driver was able to get out of the vehicle, and called the local fire department. The fire department was able to put out the flames.

While driving 65 mph engine started to make a loud rapping noise. Dealer notifed and informed consumer that engine needed to be replaced. The transmission failed twice and was replaced by the dealer. The engine skips due to defective wires and all wires were replaced. The head gasket and valve cover gasket were defective and were replaced. The engine was defective and was replaced. The consumer was requesting refund.

While traveling at approximately between 25 and 40 mph engine will stall, leaving the vehicle undriveable. Dealership examined vehicle, and replaced wiring harness which did not correct defect. Problem reoccurred, and another dealership examined vehicle and discovered a cracked ignition wire. Consumer reviewed ODI website, and found a tsb 000604023 which described problem. Please provide any additional information/attachments.
