I had the battery replace (it was bad) in July 2014 under regular warranty. Warranty expired in Dec 2014. Brought the car into Ourisman Chevrolet, Buick, GMC of Alexandria. They stated the Battery was bad again, however this time it was not covered under warranty, nor any battery warranty since it was replaced in July 2014.

If you buy a battery from an auto parts store it is usually covered for at least two years. Not this time no coverage. I think this is a defect in the AC Delco Battery and should be covered. First battery was replaced when the vehicle had 20,000 miles and the second when the vehicle had 27,000 miles. I guess that means that when the vehicle has 34, 000 it will need a new battery. I think that Buick should look into this problem and get AC Delco to investigate. Buick service would not do anything for me except register my complaint.

I try to start the car in the morning and it acts just about dead - but my battery is good. I wait a moment and try again - sometimes a third time. Then it starts but a variety of lights show up on the dash - sometimes the emergency flashers come on and different messages show in the middle display. I reset everything back to normal and then it's okay. The next time (same day) I go to start the car, there is usually not a problem.

Being a senior citizen, most of my driving is rather local and simple but yesterday as I was entering a traffic circle, the engine started to quit on me just as a large trailer truck was bearing down, the car started up again just in the nick of time. I'm concerned about "What's next - and - What to do"?? My Buick dealer treated me very badly last time I was there so am wondering where to go for help.
